It's official The trial is over and Puffy has been found Not Guilty of the 5 charges that would have sent him to prison for 15 years. It's a great day for Black men when justice can prevail was the sentiment of his legal staff following the verdict. Sean Comb's co-defendant and long time friend/bodyguard was also found not guilty on the charges pending against him. For Puffy's other co-defendant and label act Jamal "Shyne" Barrow it was another story as he was found guilty and remanded into custody pending sentencing. He is facing about 5 years in prison. |

 J-LO DIPS The rumors said dat Miss J-Lo wanted out of their made for PR relationship 4 weeks. Close sources say dat she stayed out of fear after Combs made thinly veiled threats to her. Combs thought her dumping him during his trial would look bad and he let her know just how bad a move it would be if she turned her back on him now. J-Lo is so afraid of Puffy she has fled the country on a so-called promo tour which is quite unusual since she has a nu album and movie out now. |
I SAW HIM TOO The Puffy trial is one that I wish I could see on Court TV. Simply because I love the look on a person's face when the shit hits the fan and everything he claimed was true or not true comes back to haunt him. Puffy has claimed almost teary eyed that he neva had a gun da nite of the Club shooting incident. Yet, four count'em four witnesses has placed a gun in his hands and one even says she saw Puffy fire at least two shots. Yeah I would say the shit has defintely hit the fan for Puffy. His driver, the man Puffy tried to bribe with a ring and fifty Gs, says his boss had a gun and stuck the gun inside his waistband before entering the club. He even demostrated the process of accessing the SUV's secret stash spot which the prosecution contends can hold weapons. |

STILL MAKING BEATS Trial aside Puffy's label, Bad Boy which rumors say will be dropped by Arista due to lack luster sales and not the trial and tribulations of its founder, is still making music. Shyne has a nu video single and the all white girl group Dream is blowing up the charts in that Pop kinda way. Carl Thomas' debut album has done well. Black Rob was like whoa for a minute and still nu artists signed to label await their fate which will be decided for them not by the millions of Hip Hop fans but by a jury of 12. Lets just hope that the jury won't hold any grudges against Mr. Bad Boy for those old school remakes. |

PROSECUTION'S WITNESS FINGERS COMBS AS ONE OF TWO SHOOTERS Natania Rueben of New Jersey claims she saw Puffy fire two shots: As a witness for the prosecution she fingered Sean "Puffy" Combs as one of two gunmen, Shyne being the other, that fired shots into a NYC night club on December 27, 1999. 30 year-old Natania Rueben was struck in the face with a bullet that fateful evening and contends that she saw Puffy raise his hand and fire two shots, one of which struck her. "It felt like a flaming hot sledgehammer hitting me in the face," she said, her voice shaking. "Blood just began pouring out of my face and I looked up to the sky and said, 'Oh, God, don't take me. I'm not ready to go.'' |
