H. M. King High School, Kingsville, Texas

2004 Centennial Reunion

The ‘60s Decade Reunion has come and gone, but the memories of that weekend will live on for years to come. It was truly an amazing, magical weekend filled with the sights and sounds of those carefree high school days of yesteryear. 539 KHS grads and guests were on hand throughout the weekend representing the Classes of 1953 - 1982. Thanks to each of you who attended any or all of our events.

These events were made possible by the following businesses or individuals, and we very much appreciate their outstanding service and warm hospitality:

King’s Inn, King Ranch, King Ranch Museum, Henrietta Memorial Center, Texas A&M University – Kingsville, Sodexho Catering and Sara Barrera, The Club at NAS Kingsville and Matt Barrs, Barth’s Restaurant, Barbara Mertens Perkins (’66), B Bar B Ranch Inn, Macareno Signs, Linda’s Main Street Café, Main Street Florist, First United Methodist Church, L.E. Ramey Golf Course, Sylvia Woelfel and Cactusflower, Martha Hornsby and Lizards & Ladybugs, John Conner Museum, Wild Horse Lodge at Baffin Bay, Phyllis Simpson Elsik (’60) and Phyllis’ Special Events & Gifts, Kingsville Woman’s Club and Jack Beauchamp (’66) & God’s Kreatures.

The official reunion events ended with the Centennial Parade on Sunday afternoon. Numerous ‘60s Decade classmates rode in the parade thanks to the efforts of Gene Rogers (’66) and Barbara Burns Honaker (’65) and the beautiful classic cars furnished by Sandra Wiley (’65), Alton Brown (’66), Dave Ingraham, Bob Neely, Arthur Rogers (’72), Roger Pollard (’68), A.Z. Zapata and Red Klassen.

The Reunion Committee is very proud of what was accomplished and even more proud of all the new friends we've gained in the process. We're going to keep on with the Road Trips so don't think you've seen the last of us! It's even been suggested that we repeat this whole weekend in five years. But for now, enjoy all the photos of the weekend. I'll be in touch...

Thanks for the memories, Nancy
