Biography
Gary Grice, the oldest member of the wu. GZA started his career in the early 90s' releasing his first solo album "Words From The Genius" off of Cold Chillin' records. Jizah was one of the first orignal 3 members of the Wu-Tang along with RZA and Old Dirty Bastard, The name of the Trio was All in Together Now.
Three years after that, they had met up with the other members of the band that would be called the Wu-tang Clan.
Gza did release a record in the 1990's "Words from the Genius". Sales of this record did not exceed 31000 copies, even when it was re-released in 1995. "Come Do Me." is the name of his first single, which didnt get much play, although it was a slower mix.
In 1995 the Genius released a new album called Liquid Swords. The record came out under Geffen Records. The album was a hit and went gold.4th Chamber, Liquid Swords, Shadow Boxin', Duel of The Iron Mic, Cold World, Gold and Investigative Reports are a most of the hits from his second album. The Album features every wu-member, the album introduced Killah Preist, one of the mc's from wu-family.
4 years after Liquid Swords, in 1999, he came out with another hit album called Beneath the Surface.
It features Rza, Method Man, Ol' Dirty Bastard, La The Darkman, Killah Priest, and a couple others. The first single from the album was "Breaker, Breaker". He directed the video. He has also directed many videos such as "Cold World", "Shadow Boxin", and "4th Chamber."
