Memories
Of life
Time eloped
Of what once is
But now was
Life lived
Love found and lost
Like that $20 bill that you thought you didn't have
But now spent
After the time
That I watched the seconds tick off the face of the earth
After the days
Once vibrant in its course now filled with the bland stillness of the night
As time ticks
I repent for the adventrues unexplored
Thoughts that evaporated into nothingness
The life that wasn't lived
Through me
History is lived
Like a child that grows
Such as a tree that sprouts in the spring
And how in the fall
The leaves fall off
Like time, continously ticking away.
