Ribbons
Supplies: One ribbon for each pair, 18” or longer.
Fold over the ribbons in your hand so all the ends come out the bottom. Each girl takes an end. Let the ribbons go. The children holding the same ribbon are a pair.

Numbering
Give each child a number, until half the children have one, and then start again from one. When all the children have a number, those with the same number get into pairs. If you want to make groups of three or more, simply make sure you repeat each number the appropriate number of times. Instead of numbers you can use letters, shapes, colors, foods, etc.

Height
Ask the children to line up in order of height, and form pairs or divide group from there.

Names in a Box
Put all the names in a box and pull them out, two by two. Or assign teams as the names are drawn.

Cards
Prepare pairs of cards or flashcards. Each girl draws a card and finds her match.

Barnyard
Prepare animal names or pictures on cards or paper. There should be two of each card. Each girl draws one. Upon command, all girls start making their animal sound and find their match.
