i'm really out of shape now, but who gives a shit. anyway, i just remembered. i'm going to start an anti-"If You're Not the One" club. this song is terrible. just plain terrible. not just plain ugly like Linkin Park's stuff (and even they could come up with one good song, My December).
the other day i was with S and so we were going at it and then i realized the radio was playing Daniel Beddingfield's If You're Not the One. dreadful. it totally ruined everything. i managed to block parts of it out but it was difficult. i mean you can't multitask at a time like that. the radio played F4's Season of Smoke and Fireworks after. i felt guilty then. hmmm.
That place was fun though. they had a jacuzzi. although their 'sexy' movie selection leaves something to be desired. "Lupe: The Fisherman's Wife"? this has got to be the most bogus sexy movie i've ever seen. it actually made me laugh. and nothing in it made any sense.
watched The Italian Job yesterday. the chase scene was cool.

Vinyl Killer-->

this is a little toy car shaped object (a VW to be exact) that runs on batteries. put it on top of a size 33 record (i think that's the small one with the big hole in the middle), switch it on, and it will run around (following the circumference) the record and play it! how cute!

right now, eating Pringles.
the "rogue junior officers" who staged the coup were all from the Class of '95 (Military Academy, wherelse fucker?). they're pretty young. kids even. fucking Chris Kirkpatrick from *NSYNC should be their age. Eminem is their age.

i watched Phone Booth on dvd today, it's pretty good. it's only 111 minutes long. it's like i don't even see movies that clock in under 1hour and 30 minutes anymore. every damn movie is 2 hours or more. god. even 2 Fast 2 Furious was kind of long. so what a relief to finally see a good, short movie.

bought my first-ever copy of Super Street magazine. way cool! another favorite magazine to add to my list.

this guy on TV just admitted that the Army security for ammunition isn't very tight. what inanity is that? and admitting it on television for the world to see? granted, we're a third world country, whatever, people are too stupid to take inventory of bullets donated by americans, but still, there's no need to broadcast it on television. now that is stupid. pretty funny. the americans will probably say, we gave you money to fight terrorism, and you let that al-ghozi dude escape. we gave you money to buy ammo (we gave you ammo) and you fucking sell the shit.
(the reason why the guy mentioned it is that 1 the rebels' accusations is that the head general sells ammo to the MILF.)
whatever. this is all really gay. this fucking country is gay.

speaking of gay, my gay friend just sent me a really funny text message earlier: "I think we should just send all the fags in Manila to Oakwood & Makati, suck (blowjob) the energy out of them all so they'll go home. BJs for Peace." i totally cracked up. that was hilarious. i mean, that's a very good plan! the gov't doesn't even have a plan. on tv, they admit they don't really have a real negotiator 2 talk with the rebels, and they haven't drawn up demands to ask of the rebels. insane. we should take my gay friend's gay plan and suck (sock) it to this gay country. aww yeah.

so now this broad on tv asks one of the rebel soldiers, "So like why did you choose to stage this coup in Makati? in oakwood? our financial district? this is gonna affect the all your countrymen blablabla.." She must be really dense, i mean, what kind of reporter asks obvious questions with obvious answers? unless she's run out of questions to ask. nuts.

Wow, this stupid coup even showed up on my Newsdesk news reader. how *cool* is that. i mean i normally don't give a shit about news unless it's news from that reader (that means, mostly tech news, and whatever occasional news on the real world-- which mostly means Middle East/African stuff). anyway, the source was BBC and it said "Residents of an apartment block skyscraper inside the Glorietta complex - which include the Australian ambassador and other foreign nationals - have been told to evacuate after earlier being trapped by the incident.".. well, lalala, foreigners. these rebels sure know how to grab attention. but they've never been stupid, at least not in regards to attention getting like when they kidnapped all those americans from palawan a couple of years ago.
anyway nobody gives a shit anymore. my mother was just remarking whether there'll be work for her tomorrow or not since she works in makati. my father's still out for his regular sunday gimmicks. coups? what? yawn. corny. you want attention? bring fucking F4 here and we'll talk. hahaha.
all cecile & i hope is that this won't screw up our travel plans. she's going to singapore on monday (but will come back before leaving for good, at least for a year in august.).
pretty wild. now the TV is blabbing on about transferring Erap from his 'prison' in the hospital to Camp Crame. the very same place where those muslim terrorists escaped from last week. but at this rate, the escape of an ex president (woohoo! deposed by a coup too) is the last thing they gotta worry about.

damn, i need a new Minidisc walkman. Half a year of being deprived of recording functions is killing me. i was planning to go to park square and check out the cheap new Net-MD walkmen they have there (no comparison to my [broke] MZ-R900 but paupers can't be choosers) and now there are bombs there? or something? whatever. the whole place is closed i think.

In one newspaper today (Philippine Star), one of the op-ed guys wrote about some survey statistic thing that said Filipinos are the most content/ happiest of the people in Asia. they are also the least conscious about their body image. the people who are the "least content" are people from hong kong, and taiwan.
In another newspaper (some chinese newspaper), my mother told me she read that people from Hong Kong are the slimmest around the world, least percentage of obesity.
I think this shows that people should at least be aware of stuff, be conscious of stuff so they can better themselves. it's like people here just don't give a shit, it's not a matter of always being dissatisfied. it's a matter of knowing when to not be content with mediocrity and to go do stuff. if you're "happy" with everything, you don't wanna strive to improve, and you're never gonna end up anywhere. but people in other countries, they're always self-critical, they always reflect on how to better themselves. people here then deem those people as negative people who don't know how to be content with their blessings.
but who's starving? who's got a crime rate as tall as Mt Everest? who's fucking country's maximum security prison permitted Islamic terrorists to escape?

yeah who am i to talk huh, i just sit around and sleep and watch videos all day. oh well. hahahaha. well, whatever, felt like typing something.

"If the fate of twentieth century man is to live with death from adolescence to premature senescence, why then the only life-giving answer is to accept the terms of death, to live with death as an immediate danger, to divorce oneself from society, to exist without roots, to set out that uncharted journey with the rebellious imperative of the self. In short, whether life is criminal or not, the decision is to encourage the psycopath in oneself."

--- so wrote Norman Mailer
