THE POWER OF A DREAM
20 REASONS TO SET A GOAL,

by Dr. Robert Schuller

1. A decision is made, plugging the leaks of indecision.
2. Enthusiasm is released.
3. A challenge is accepted and you are released from apathy.
4. Excellence is claimed and mediocrity is rejected.
5. Leadership is asserted – you are in control of your future.
6. Faith is put into control of your future – spiritual power is released.
7. You are free to become more than what you have done.
8. Hope is renewed – Optimism!
9. You need God to help you succeed – rely on Him and become
      God–controlled.
10.Personhood is affirmed – You are someone.
11. Success is honored and assured.  You have taken control of your destiny.
12.Direction is established.
13.Fears are overpowered.
14.Focus is fixed.
15.Opportunities are given a chance to become achievements.
16.Youth is renewed – excitement is renewed.  If you have a goal you are alive      and growing.  Without a goal you become stale and stagnant.
17. Your relations are empowered.  Goals attract people to you.
18. Positive thoughts created positive changes.
19. Your priorities are set in concrete.
20. Your vision is crystallized.  It is no longer a fantasy but a reality.

THINK HIGHER, THINK SWIFTER, THINK STRONGER

Small steps to big goals
~Ralph Marston
If you have trouble achieving the big goals, then break them down into smaller, more manageable goals. If you have trouble getting to work on the small goals, remind yourself of the bigger goals and purposes to which they lead.

The big goals are what will drive you, motivate you, and compel you to go forward. The smaller goals are what will actually move you steadily there.

When you have a big reason to take a small step, you're much more likely to find a way to take that step no matter what. String those small steps together and they'll add up to the big, important achievements you so earnestly desire.

Any accomplishment can be broken down into steps so small as to seem trivial. But put them all together, and the results are anything but trivial.

Keep putting one foot in front of another, and you can walk a thousand miles or even more, as long as you're motivated enough to keep going.
Stay focused on those big goals, while persistently working through the small, day-to-day goals, and anything is within your reach.
