The Kalawahine Trail is a state maintained trail and is mostly level. It is a pleasure to walk and much easier than the Aiea Loop Trail. Here you can see how wide it is.
Most of the trail is in heavy forest which is nice and cool. There were lots of birds singing all along the trail.
