Our Home
Our beautiful house was built in 1932. The square footage of the house is 2020 all except the basement. It was apparently the original Calmar school. We are looking into that though. The main floor has 9' ceilings and original hardwood almost throughout. Kitchen and bathroom are lino. The hall is hardwood but covered with lino tiles. Our kitchen has been recently painted due to the fact it was hideously done before. The living room/dining room is 11.5' by 25'. Our bathroom boasts an original cast iron tub with claw feet. (I've wanted one since I was a little girl.) There are three rooms on the main floor also. One is our computer room, one is the playroom and the other is our guestroom. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms and an alcove that is perfect for the baby's crib. There is a large full sized basement with laundry facilities. There is a cold room a storage room and a work area down there also.
We have a large backyard in which there is a climber/slide that Cameron loves to go on. The entire lot is 100' by 121' so there is plenty of room to enjoy. Our garage is older....so much that we figured out it was once a house!! When you look inside you can see remnants of walls and hardwood flooring. You can see where there were pillars and some coloring of the walls. There is a front door and a back door. Pretty neat if you ask us.
