At the "old old" Pali Road the "new" trail cuts down toward the "old" Pali Road and does not connect to the Pali Lookout as described in Stuarts book. That trail still exists if you want to go that way.
This was the last picture I took. We now were standing on the "old" Pali Rd. We followed it down to a gate, passed thru the gate and were on the access road to the Ko`olau Golf course. There we met Mabel who gave some of the ladies a ride back to Ho`omaluhia. The rest of us walked down the road, crossed over the H-3 and found the back gate to Ho`omaluhia. There Dayle our fearless leader took us thru the "bush" back to the meeting place to enjoy the goodies. A good time was had by all and many thanks to the hard workers especially the three guys with the power equipment, Roger, Grant and duh, I forgot who #3 was. Must be old age setting in.
