The ridge on the far left with the Cook Island Pines is where the Papali Uka Loop begins. The arrow in the center points to the ridge we were climbing (Kaipapa`u). The ridge on the right is Kokololio Ridge which we would descend for a while before crossing to Aakakii Ridge for the rest of the decent. (Panorama)
This was the most dangerous section of the whole hike, and it really wasn't dangerous at all.
