November 2008  Caleb called and said he would be choosing a new place to be stationed in June.  He has put in a request for Hawaii.  That will be nice if he gets it.

          

8-16-08 Caleb was home for a couple weeks for Grace's wedding.  It was so good to see him.

   

4-27-08 Caleb just finished another deployment (7 months long).  He pulled into Little Creek, VA around 10:30 am today.  Josh and I (Sue) drove Caleb's car down for him and got to watch the ship come in.  Caleb even gave me a tour of the ship.  We had a great time and it was very hard to come back home.  It was so good to see Caleb.  He said he had been sick with Bronchitis and was bedridden for 5 days.  He still looked good!  

 

2-2-08  Caleb has called, emailed, and instant messaged a few times lately.  Around Christmas he was in Bahrain and on New Year's Eve he called from Dubai (United Arab Emirates).  There is a 9-hour time difference so we got to hear the celebrations in Dubai (over the phone) at 3 PM our time.  We could hear the sailors cheering and the horn blasts from the ships.  Several other US ships were there as well.

           

Just a couple weeks ago, Caleb was in Seychelles (island on east side of Africa).  It is a resort area and they were having a little R&R.  We haven't heard form him since.  We sure miss him.

              

7-29-07  Caleb is coming home for a visit.  He can leave as early as this Friday (Aug. 31st) and stay until Sept. 11th.  He is going to drive his car home and then fly back.  He wanted to leave his car here while he is deployed, which starts in October.  I just hope he can find his way home.  He has never driven on a long road trip before and he will be traveling alone.  He will have to multi-task and read the map while he drives.  Good luck!
