Here, the idea is making legends. Like our moto above, we don't just make heroes, we make legends, whose names will be forever etched into the record books and hearts of millions. LF (Legends Farm) has been dropped seemingly into race horse heaven. With a little 200 acre farm in the rolling green hills of Camden, South Carolina, LF gives horses time to be themselves and remember why it is they so much desire to run. Fresh, salty air wafts within the stables and paddocks, and four distinct seasons are experienced here.
Legends Farm is a fairly new, renovated stable previously under the name Emerald City Racing. The change of name came later, and a complete renovation followed. The farm, which was previously leasing 400 acres in addition to our own 200 acres, has ended the lease and cut back operations to our original land. The stables have multiplied, with now a Stud, Broodmare, and Racing barn. The farm also now has ten personal paddocks, each one acre, and a 7/8 of a mile training track.
Legends Farm is a strictly Thoroughbred operation, not dabbling in the stock racing of other breeds, or the harness racing of the Standardbred world. While we do have a few steeplechasers, out majority is horses run on the flat over dirt and turf. Legends Farm is no longer a public operation. Please call in advance to arrange tours etc.
