Unsung Heroes

On September 11, 2001 New York City was forever changed.
The "Twin Towers" were brought crumbling to the ground.
The result of a heinous act of terrorism on the United States.
In the buildings at the time of destruction were thousands of men and women.
Not just the people who worked there, but several hundred Emergency Service Workers.
These brave men and women who rushed into the World Trade Center on that day,

Paid the ultimate price for freedom.

Without hesitation, these Heroes of New York's finest,
Rushed to the aid of thousands whose lives were in certain jeopardy.
Both Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed,
Sealing the fate of these Angels Of Mercy.
For it is their duty to rush in…..while others rush out.
On this dark day, these people sacrificed themselves.
Not just because it was their job
But because it was who they were in their everyday life.
Heroes……….Angels……….Family Members……….Friends


The tears, not just of a nation….but the world, has shed
Will fall in Remembrance and Reflection
For everyone whose life has been forever changed by this disaster.
And as for us who remain behind to keep the faith.
Lets pray that there is a Hero in each and everyone of us.
