The Story of Us
Nate and I met in February 1999. We were soon fast friends. In June
of
that year Nate had to move to Conneticut and our friendship ended.
Then December 1999 came. I was living with his old roomates in Georgia
who he came down
to visit shortly after Christmas. After talking for hours one night
we realized there seemed to be more than just a friendship brewing between
us.
We spent the next few days just getting to know each other better.
We both knew nothing could come of it as we lived much to far away from
each other.
However our feelings had become very strong and we soon decided
a long distance relationship would work for us.
We continued on with our relationship chatting online and calling each
other
every morning. Boy were our long distance bills outrageous!! In an instant
we decided it would save us money for me to pack up and move to CT.
On March 17, 2000 I moved in with Nate and his son Jared. Nate had
orders to transfer to Hawaii in May. We knew there was no way
we could afford a move here unless we were married.
Neither one of us was ready and we had both discussed at length waiting
awhile
to get married. But situations change ;)
April 7, 2000 Nate and I married with Ethan and Jared by our sides. we
have never
regretted the decision to get married so quikly! We would
also soon learn that on our wedding day we conceived our first child
together, Xander.
Xander was born on December 30, 2000
In September 2001, shortly after the WTC attacks, we conceived our second
child.
Rory was born on June 20, 2002.
It has been a wonderful 2 years and I can't wait to experience what
the future has in store for us!
