Notes for Ron Brown (and anyone else having trouble getting a web page d= one for free)

that takes you to the LOG IN Page.

Second, Log in or sign up for free (to start, you need an email address,= so, if you don't have one, sign up first with a site like hotmail.com or yahoo.com and then come back and sign up)

If you have forgotten your log in name and password after signing they can be found in your emails.

When you remember and/or know and/or sign up again and remember it this time, then

Third, Log in with correct name (i.e.planet/= YOUR NAME YOU PICKED AT SIGN UP>)

Fourth, click webshell on the left hand side= of the page after signing in.

(It should say, hello, planet/YOUR NAME...)

After finding the web shell page, find index and click edit, after uploa= ding your jpg or tif pictures or movies or whatever = files you want to upload where it says upload multiple files, you can click this = and then browse from your computer for up to ten files or pictures at a time. I= f you want to upload a web page you have already completed, just save it with a s= hort name and .html on your desktop before browsing for files.

You can also create new files and directories at the Create button and please always name it NAME.html, so that you will be able to edit it in the= web shell.

To make a new page after creating an index file in basic editor, then ju= st name a page

NAME.html in create section, then click on this new file and hit edit ab= ove, then choose Basic editor and take it from there. To link to this new page, simply include what is called a link on the index page. (this is always your home page, but can be changed and updated  simply by uploading the new page y= ou want and changing its name by hitting rename above and giving your new page= you created the name index.html.

Then you can also click the overwrite button, so that the new files beco= me the only files by that name.

<a href=3D”NAME.html”>NAME= </a>

Is the only thing you need to add in the html box of your index page aft= er clicking the edit button, so that a link called NAME will go to the new web page called NAME.html

You fill in the blank with whatever NAME you create for yourself.

Every new page can be created this way, and links back to the home page = can be added in the same way to every new page you create, up to 20MB for free!
