~Meet Our Missionaries!~

Henry Matarrita was born and raised in a Catholic family in Costa Rica. When Henry was 15 years old, he was invited to a prayer meeting, where a pastor named Israel shared the Gospel with him. Henry was in tears, touched by the love of the Messiah, and received Jesus as his Lord that night. Although he experienced rejection from his family for his new-found faith, Henry eventually was able to lead them to the Lord.

Henry was "adopted" by a missions pastor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who took him into his home and helped sponsor his way through Moody Bible Institute and Talbot Seminary. Henry Matarrita has a call to international ministry among the Jewish people. Today, he directs the Hawaii Jewish Outreach on the island of Maui.

Henry and Darlene's vision goes beyond the Jews of Hawaii to nations around the world such as Spain, Portugal, Greece and other Jewish communities which have had little or no witness to the Jewish people. He and his wife, Darlene, truly have a desire to see the House of Israel come to know the Lord.
