The shadow dragon is a independent and solitary type of dragon. When the female lays it's eggs, she will lay 5-8 eggs and the first one to hatch will devour the others. They are able to use magic spells and sometimes own spell books. They tend to learn and know spells that have to do with darkness. You begin with three spells that are recorded on your info page.
