The trail head is hard to miss unless your blind. But then you probably would not be out here hiking if you were blind. At least not alone. Here are the mighty hikers Mark in the front by himself. Second row: Francis, Marilyn, Todd, and Karen. Back row, Landis' friend, Landis, and Connie.

Right away the trail cuts thru a jungle. The trail is wide and well maintained . Soon we see the remains of an old pumping station. From the way the pipes ran it looked like there was a well here at one time, and the water was pumped up and over the ridge we climbed on the left of the house. The water was probably used for agriculture many many years ago.
