REVIEWS-I went to Mel's concert last night (16/7/00 - manchester) It was the worlds best concert! I was in about the tenth row back from the front, so i had a pretty good view! Tomcat played their six songs or however many it was and then they went off, I was really impressed by them and before i went thought they would suck but no rather good! So then we stood there for about 30 minutes, and then after an argument with a not very nice woman behind me mel came out! The stage was cool - giant mushroom things everywhere. Well then Mel came out and sang a good 15 or more songs which were all note perfect. She also enjoyed talking to the crowed and did an awful lot of swearing, one case being in the middle of "Goin' down" when she shouted "Jump !!"(you don't wanna know!). So it was a very worthwhile experience and i am so glad i went - not that going was out of the question being quite a huge fan of hers! At the end she did "Never be the same again" and went off, so did all of her band, then we were left stood there for literally 5 minutes, before she came out and went out with a bang performing "I turn to you". One of the biggest crowd pleasers was suprisingly "Suddenly monday" but she filled it with so much life that it was a wonder that no-one would not like it! After the concert I managed to get to the front of the merchandise stand remarkibly fast, I bought a mug and a book which is basically her album but in pictures - a must if you are into art or something like that!
