In a world where its hard to be yourself with sex,
drugs, and other products that are in your face
you cant help but to give in, but one band with
tuned down 7 string guitars, a 5 string bass,
pounding drums, and emotional driven vocals, KoRn
brought the music industry to its knees.

Korn started in the late 80's early 90's with the
founding members Head,Munky, Fieldy and David and
formed a band called L.A.P.D (Love and peace dude).
Touring across the U.S. it looked like they
were not going anywhere, but until they went to a
bar and found a long haired, cross dresser.
"we were just about to leave the bar, jonathan
started singing and i turned to brian and we were
like,(showing a shocked expression) and we turned
around and watched the
rest of the set"~Munky

Jonathan was in the band Sex Art at the time and
was aproached by Munky and Head after that show.
Jonathan wasnt sure what he should do so he went to
a psychic. "So i went to a psychic and she
said i was stupid if i didnt do it so
tryed out and it started from there."~ Jonathan

Yes it did start from there. As a new
band under the name "KoRn". What the fuck kind
of name is that!
As people would gone on.
People wonder why they choiced such a name, well
the story goes: one night jonathan went to a
party and over heard two gay men talking how they
wanted to have sex with eachother so one of the
men started eating out the other's butthole then
got diarea all blew it over his face and when he opened
his mouth there was a corn kernal on this
tongue, and if he said corn to anyone at that party
they would get sick. After finding a name such
Diverse as "Korn" they made a demo tape which
consisted with the songs "Blind" "Alive"(which eventually became
Need To)"Predictable" and "Daddy".
Korn playing a million shows then got sign with a
fresh out of the womb record company Immortal Records
In pre-production of their first album they
needed to pick a producer and they picked the
Criticly aclaimed Ross Robinson who had a knack to
release some extra emotion to each song. So he
was perfect for what Korn had to offer. From the scream
of ARE YOU READY!?, to the harmony of the bagpipes
to the most painfully song on the album
"Daddy" The self titled album brung to fans a different
kind of music the world hadnt heard before.

Life Is Peachy, KoRn's second album came after a two year gap.
This album brung to the table more of the
power of korns sound, with the more diverse songs
like Porno Creep and Good god, and
to a confession on the song Kill You, which was
about Jonathan's step mother:
"It's about a relative I first met when I was 12. I fucking hate
that bitch. She's the most evil, fucked up person
I've met in my whole life. She hated my guts. She
did everything she could to make my life hell.
Like, when I was sick she'd feed me tea with
Tabasco, which is really hot pepper oil. She'd
make me drink it and say, 'You have to burn that
cold out, boy'. Fucked up shit like that. So every
night when I'd go to sleep, I'd dream of killing
that bitch. In some sick way I had a sexual
fantasy about her, and I don't know what that
stems from or why, but I always dreamt about
fucking her and killing her." - Jonathan Davis

On August 18 1998 Korn relesed Follow the leader.
Maybe there most mainstream album with hits like
Got the life and their most sucessfull song/video
Freak on a leash. 1998 sawed the first
every "Family Values Tour" which had acts of
Incubus, Orgy, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, and Rammstien
The Family Values Tour would have something
For everyone.

1999 would see KoRn hard at work on their fourth album
which would be later a named issues. Almost
half way done with issues, they got a call
from the promoters from "Woodstock" who after
a sucessfull woodstock in 1994 they thought
they could do it one more time. KoRn supprised
would take that offer. As a practice show
they play at the Whisky A GO-GO (who was fammous
for booking such acts as the doors)the day before
the big show. Friday night came and KoRn was
the first heavy act to come on. "My arms and my
lips, my whole body was numb because i was so nervous
...It is and still is the biggest crowd we played for."~Munky

Running down the set list with
Blind, Shoots and Ladders and Got the Life, KoRn
gave a sneak peak to the woodstockers by playing
"Falling away from me" and "Beg for me".

On Novemember 16,1999, Issues was in stores:We
probly worked less hours, but we put all our hear into it.~Fieldy
No one
thought that they could top woodstock, but they
did by playing the whole album from the first
song to the last song. Choosing the Apollo Theater
(which held acts such as the Jackson 5 and Marven Gaye)
They played to a sold out crowd and over 10
radio stations and the millions watching on
the internet KoRn rocked everybody's asses
It was either play like shit and sound lik shit
or play good and sound good~Head

Their up and comming tour "Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted
Tour",gave away to a big problem, David's
arm. "I was a freak thing..."~David
Instead of laying off the whole tour
David was man enound to get a replacement
in Mike Borden(Faith No More/Ozzy)
He was one of the drummers that influenced me
so he was perfect~David
. They would play for a
years worth.

KoRn would go back to the studio for the rest of 2001
and most of 2002. But in between of waiting for
David to get well, Jonathan would work on a flim
called "Queen of the Dammed and would work on
the score with Richard Gibbs. Fieldy would work
on his solo projeck intitled "Fieldy Dreams"
.

After David's arm getting better they would go back to
the studio. For the producer they had Choosen
Michael Beinhorn who would bring produce an
album with a revoluionary recording process where
you can hear each instument by itself.

On June 10,2002 no one could think that Korn could
do it again but they by playing a movie to theaters
across the U.S then simultaneously play a
rock show. The next day would see to one of the most
anticipated album of the year, "Untouchbles" and
a DVD called "Deuce". Untouchbles one of the more
experimented albums gave a sort of gothic
mellodic feel (maybe came from Jonathan when working
on the Queen of the Dammed)turned out to be
a masterpiece.

Korn the Kings of their time are still five guys from
a lonely place called bakersfield can still say
this to all the nonbeleivers:
WHO THEN NOW BITCHES!?
