"Oh," let out the girl as they collided. Taylor first looked at the girl. She was about his age with short, shoulder length, dark brown hair which she was wearing out but with silver clips either side of her head. She was wearing a short black skirt and a pale blue singlet top She was pretty cute too. Then he looked down and noticed that he had caused her to drop her Macdonald's, which she must have been carrying, all over the path.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry," said Taylor. He crouched onto the ground and tried to pick up what he could salvage.
"I wouldn't bother," the girl said in a polite voice. "I think it's beyond repair".
"Yeah, I guess," he said, standing up. "I really am sorry".
"Don't worry about it," she said. "It wasn't mine anyway, it was my brother's".
"Here, I'll pay for it, how much was it?" Taylor asked getting his wallet from his jeans pocket.
"No, don't worry, I told you it was for my brother," she said.
"Then pay your brother," he insisted.
"Honestly, it's ok. It was my fault as much as it was yours. Forget it, he'll live," she said.
"Big or little?" asked Taylor.
"What?" she asked.
"Your brother, big or little?" he said."Big, he's 17," she answered, "Why?".
"Just wondering if I'm gonna get beat up over this or not," he said. She laughed.
"I doubt it. The fact that he's 17 means crap all. You would not believe how easy it is to beat the crap out of him". Taylor smiled,
"That's reassuring".
"You heading out from the concert?" she asked.
"Yeah," said Taylor, suddenly remembering about Sarah again. She had left his thoughts for like a few moments while he and the girl were talking. "I decided I didn't want to go".
"You're kidding, I love Admiral Twin, I wouldn't miss one of their concerts for anything," she said, "Well, technically I would, ya know, if something extreme were to happen," she added. Taylor laughed.
"Well, they're friends of ours, so we sort of see them all the time," he said.
"You're kidding," she said, her face lighting up.
"No really," said Taylor, "Jarrod Gollihare is a friend of my dad's".
"That's so cool," she said.
"Yeah, maybe I could get you to meet them sometime, if you want," offered Taylor.
"Really? I'd absolutely love that, thanks," she said.
"Yeah, no problems. Speaking of the concert, you better get in there cos when I left, the supporting band had already started," said Taylor
"Oh shit, I better go. My brother better not have lost my seat to one of his dumb dero friends," she said.
"Ok, maybe I'll see you round," said Taylor smiling.
"Yeah, maybe," she said, "Bye".
"Later," said Taylor. As the girl ran away towards the Centre Entrance Taylor thought of something, "Hey, what's your name?" he called to her.
"Chloe!" she called back. She then waved and then went through the doors. Taylor stood there, smiling, thinking about nothing. Then he remembered Sarah again and his feeling of hurt came back. He turned around, accidentally standing on the splattered Macdonald9s and walked across thestreet and headed home.
