ILJ's "old school" story #1

I went to Milwaukee some years ago to see them in their "hair" band days. I believe the show was as TA VERNS. Anyway, after the show friends of mine as well as a ton of people I didn't know, got rooms across the street at the motel. As everyone back then knew, that was where TA VERNS put the bands up for the night. So anyway, I go back to our room and pour myself a cocktail and head on down the hall to the room that has been deemed...the party room. I enter to find, Butch, Jayce, Slug and thier old singer, Jesse among at least 25 other people in this little hotel room. I found myself sitting on the counter/sink in the bathroom area sipping my drink and making conversation with anyone and everyone. Then along came Jayce and he sat his happy butt on the counter next to me and we began to chat about the tour, the fans, life in general.Then he leans forward to tell me that he has a secret. Intrigued...I tune out the crowd noise to hear what he has to say. He asked if I remembered meeting his girlfriend, Chrystina. Well, yes, of course I remember her. Well, he proceeded to tell me that he's thinking about proposing to her! I tell you if you all could have seen how adorable he looked as he was telling me this. The perfect picture of a boy in love. I smiled at him and gave him the biggest hug! I told him how great I thought it was. I told him that she is one of the luckiest girls in the world to have someone such as himself, that loves her that much.Being a girl and all, I got a bit bummed out after that. Thinking...Will I ever find someone? He noticed and asked what was wrong. I told him and he told me that whoever finally finds ME will be the lucky one. What a sweetheart. I will never forget that part of that night as long as I live.
