The first time I saw the light of the sun
I found myself cradled in my mother's arms
She filled me with love and she filled me with joy
She filled me with everything that molded me to a boy
But then the dark clouds were casted on my eyes
When I opened them again she was gone, she was gone
I found myself cradled by three kind women
And these women gave me the warmth of a mother
But then the dark clouds were casted on my eyes
When I opened them again they were gone, they were gone
I found myself living together with a fine, strong man
And this man taught me the way of life
He gave me a sword and the ways of the sword
These ways molded my heart and my soul
A young man as I am, but stronger I've become
The stronger I get, the more invincible I've become
In every swing of my sword, in every head I cut off
The more I see the blood running in my hands
I again found myself living in the shadows
But in the shadows I still see the shine of my sword
When I looked at my sword I saw a young woman's face
The face that had been locked in my heart's embrace
She was my light in the dark, but vague for me to see
I just found myself her life taken away by me
And then the dark clouds were again casted in my eyes
All I felt was guilt, all I felt was pain
To pay for all my sins I made a vow on myself
I'll never take a life no matter what it takes
For 10 years I've wondered, for 10 years I was alone
Then I'd finally seen the sun shining on my soul
The warmth that I'd felt is from a young woman's eyes
The eyes which told me, "you have hope, you have life"
I was wholly accepted, with no questions asked
An indescribable joy I felt deep inside
She gave me not just life, she gave me not just hope
Now I can finally say, "at last, I have a home..."
