In a battle of two evenly-matched wrestling teams, the Decorah Vikings grabbed the upper hand by winning five of the final seven matches as they nipped the Crestwood Cadets, 31-27, on Thursday night in Cresco.

The Vikings also won the Junior Varsity dual meet by a score of 57-12. Cadets who earned JV wins included: Jake Miller, Nate Hansel and Jeremy Henderson.

Other Cadets who competed in the JV dual included: Casey Bauer, David Reicks, Taylor Wolter, Shane Hruska, Nick Taylor, Luke Johnson, Luke Stika, Gavin Carman and Nathan Goossen.

The loss dropped the Cadet varsity team's conference dual record to 3-3. The Cadets will compete at the NEIC Tournament in Waverly on Saturday.
