She had reappeared, and everyone was staring at her except Josh and Kelsy, who were both used to her outfits by then.
She was still wearing the belly chain, but she now had on a white spaghetti strapped tank top, cropped off under her bust of course, with the word "Princess" on it in baby blue and a pair of white cotton shorts JC referred to as her underwear, that also said "Princess", only on the back, on her rear-end.
"Much better," She declared.
Justin's jaw was on the floor, practically. "Uh-huh," He nodded.
"So, are you going to begin your sound check?" She asked, settling into one of the front row chairs between Josh and Kelsy.
"Uh-huh," Justin nodded again.
JC laughed and grabbed the back of Justin's baby blue football jersey, tugging him towards the stage.
"I guess you aren't as ugly as you thought, now are you?" Kelsy teased.
"I am," April grinned. "He just has bad taste."
"Oh, that's so terrible!" Kelsy squealed, but she was laughing. Hysterically.
"It's true," April shrugged, then flashed the boys on the stage a huge grin, getting up to go get a drink.
Kelsy and Josh could see Justin practically melt. "That's sickening," Josh said, sliding over by Kelsy.
"You would think so," Kelsy grinned up at him and stood to stretch for a moment.
"What's that supposed to mean, bubble butt?" He asked, playfully hitting her rear. He always teased the two girls, but they both knew that deep down, he loved them. He just had weird ways of showing it.
"It means that you are a lovesick puppy just itching to follow your master around," Kelsy gave him a smug look and sat back down.
Josh groaned and lay his head back on the back of the chair. "Is it that obvious?"
"Only to me," Kelsy smiled.
"Only to you, huh?" Josh rolled his head over so he could see her, ran a hand through his short, spiky hair, and grinned at her. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means April's in denial and no one else knows you two well enough to notice things like this," Kelsy said.
"Well, no one else needs to know," Josh said pointedly.
"Nope, not til you go out," Kelsy grinned as April bounced back over to them, a Dr. Pepper bottle in hand.
"Hiya, guys!" She laughed and gracefully settled herself on Josh's lap. "You stole my chair." She added to Josh.
"Yes, I did," Josh agreed, taking the Dr. Pepper out of her hands and taking a sip. "I'm a bad boy now, huh?"
"And my Dr. Pepper," She said as he placed it back in her hands.
"Uh-huh, and your Dr. Pepper," Josh grinned at her, then slid down in the seat so he was more comfortable, all slouched over.
"I is tigered," April murmured in a baby voice. Whenever she got tired, she talked in a baby voice, it was something they were all used to by now.
"Is you?" Josh asked playfully.
"Uh-huh, I is," April said, turning and laying on Josh, who was slouched over, her head on his shoulder, her calves danging off of his knees because she was so short.
"Ni-night," She muttered before her eyelids drooped shut.
"Great," Josh muttered.
"You know you like it," Kelsy returned.
"So?" Josh grinned. Maybe something really good could come out of this tour. Who knew?
