The Riddles

Riddle 1

I was born with the rising sun
And thundered into the streaming light.
The flaming sun rose to the east of me.
And with it rose…
Anger and hate and false pride.
The shortening of my dark shadow
Brought with it a wave.
A river of change.
As the brightness peaked above me
My dark shadow disappeared
And I was taught to hope.
As the sun begins to shift west, I have learnt love.
Yet having all this I still wait and watch the sky…
For the sunset draws near
And the full moon will follow after…

Who am I?

Riddle 2

I was precious
But turned to rock.
I was bright
But dimmed.
My eyes were innocent
But sometimes yellow.
I was quiet
But sometimes screamed.
I was nothing
But they thought me everything.
I was hurt and faded slowly
But my last words, they gleamed.

Who am I?

Riddle 3

My eyes are blue seas
that you drown in.
My sweet smile
that will devour you whole.
My small stature
that will crush you.
And my sugared voice
that will turn your blood cold

You tried to hide from me
But I found you.
I should have known it
But I was deceived.
I meant to destroy you
But only made you stronger.
I wanted power and glory
But it seemed I only make-believed.

Who am I?

Riddle 4

What hides behind my grey eyes?
A sweet smile?
I shall not say.

What hides behind my grey eyes?
Can I read your mind?
I shall not say.

What hides behind my grey eyes?
Links to loved ones and betrayers alike?
I shall not say.

What hides behind my grey eyes?
The smell of honey?
I shall not say.

What hides behind my grey eyes?
A reflection of rusty stone?
I shall not say.

What hides behind my grey eyes?
A loved one? A child?
I shall not say.

Who am I?

Riddle 5

She arches her back
And uncurls from where she sits
Atop the cliff
She glows in the blazing sun.
Looking up, her eyes catch its golden rays.
With surprising strength and gracefulness
She pads off into the plains.

Who am I?

Riddle 6

I am there from beginning
And probably til end
I don't think I'm the hero
But this story is my own

Who am I?

Riddle 7

You turn away from him.
From his madness.
His anger.
You turn away to avoid.
His recklessness.
His violence.

You turn away and you do not see…
His courage.
His strength.
You turn away and miss.
His sadness.
His loyalty.

You turn away from the circle and miss
His Fire.

Who is he?

Riddle 8

I look in the mirror.
There is nothing there.
Only a tumbling wonderland of shadows.
But mirrors lie.
There is more than smoky shadows
in the mirror.
What more is there?
What more do I carry with me?

Once upon a time
I was so bright.
But they dressed me in thunderclouds.
Later on I tried
To escape the stifling storm.
But unknown it followed.
It pushed me to where it willed.

I dreamed of flying.
Flying so high that I could escape the thunderclouds around me.
I dreamed of escape.

I look in the mirror.
Who am I?
What do I see?

Riddle 9

I loved her,
but did she love me?
I was wise,
But I did not see.
I was blinded
By love and pride.
I was selfish
So now I hide.
I am half
Of what I was.
I should despair
At my loss.
But even in this emptiness
Hope shines bright.
That one will come
To make wrong, right.
I wait. I watch.
Things unravel apart.
I watch. I protect.
Hope’s beautiful heart.

Who am I?

Riddle 10

I did not seek refuge
yet it came upon me
Seperated from my fellows
by impassable barriers
I retreated intomy dreams
Of a task I must complete
Memories that shall haunt me
till I face my future.

Who am I?

WHO...ARE...WE...?
