DEBB's Home Page :)

Here is a little something about me:
Hello everyone and welcome to my homepage. My name is Deborah. You can call me Debbie because I like it better and anyway that's what everyone else calls me. In May of 2003 I graduated from The State University of New York College at Old Westbury with a bachelor's degree in Language and Literature. I am very happy to be finished and I am looking for a full time job. Over the years I have earned many awards like The Girl Scout Gold Award, The New York State Department of Law Triple "C" award for Courage, Character and Commitment, Most School Spirit and I even got an award for signing a friends guest book. I work hard to achieve things and am proud of what I have achieved over the years. There are many things I like to do. One of the many things I like is teddy bears. I am continuing to be involved in activities. The past 2 semesters I have been Vice President of "AFA" (Access For All) which promotes disability awareness around the campus community. A special thank you to a really good friend of mine (Dianna) for helping me with this page. Below is a poem someone sent me that has really touched my heart. So please take the time to read it and share it with those that you love. It is one of the many things we take for granted. So please read it carefully. Please don't forget to sign my guest-book and some of my favorite links before you go. Thanks. Love always Debbs

~~~IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES~~~
If I knew it would be the last time
that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute or two
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything right.
There will always be another day
to say our "I love you's",
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do's?"
But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget,
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today,
whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear,
Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive
me,"
"thank you" or "it's okay".
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.
~Send this to all of your Dear Ones......Let
them know what they mean
to
you...and if they send it back...then they
feel the same way, if
not...theres
always another day....~
And friends are friends forever if the Lord's the
Lord of them.
And a friend will not say "Never" 'cause the
welcome will never end.
Tho' it's hard to let you go, in the Father's
hands we know
that a lifetime's not too long to live as Friends!
