Blue Rooster Roductions Presents Los Lobos!

"America's Most Important Band" played three shows in Hawaii for the first time in 7 years.
Saturday October 9, 2004 at Sangha Hall 424 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii, Sunday October 10 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center - Castle Theater in Kahului, Maui and Monday October 11 at the Pipeline Cafe 805 Pohukaina Street, Honolulu, Oahu.
Los Lobos were on a world tour in support of their latest releases on Hollywood Records/Mammoth Records, "The Ride" (and "Ride This - The Covers EP") and stopped in Hawaii on their return from Japan.
Libby and I caught the shows in Hilo and Honolulu and both of them were outstanding. The show in Hilo had a mellower vibe while the show in Honolulu was the last of their tour before the band headed home to East L.A. for some R&R and the energy level was extremely high! :-) They played Three encores for the enthusiastic crowd, finally ending this marathon Monday night show with a rousing cover of the Grateful Dead classic, "Bertha".
