Stop And Listen
Everyday love spoke to me
it was hiding in someone's heart
it gave me hints and clues
based on who's heart it was in
it twisted my mind so much
that every time it spoke
I started ig-noring it
until one day it said to me
"open the eyes to your heart
and see beyond her eyes
for he is a close friend of yours"
with anxiety I tried to find out
but with my heart's eyes still closed
it seemed impossible to find out who
on that night you came to me in my dream
and you gave me clues
that showed that love was with in you
and I needed to look no further
since then
I've been putting the pieces
of the puzzle together
after a long time of thinking
it finally came to me
"and my heart said to me
"stop! look! listen! and understand
love and kindness lays in the heart
of that which is close to you.
