2 Peter 1: 2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the
knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 His divine power has given
us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him
who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given
us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate
in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil
desires.
SALVATION BY GRACE
When a person works an eight-hour day and receives for his
efforts eight hours' pay, that is a wage.
When he competes with an opponent and receives a trophy for
his superior performance, that is a prize.
When he receives something in recognition of meritorious
service or achievement, that is an award.
But when a person cannot earn by working, or receive for performing,
or achieve by serving, he needs grace.
And that's exactly the way God deals with mankind in giving
him salvation: Ephesians 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not
by works, so that no-one can boast." Accept the grace of salvation
and then you can receive more undeserved good things by getting to know God
better and understanding Him and His ways. This is done through Jesus. For more, press the "Heaven" button.
