Significance:

Jungle has known Alert, quite literally his whole life. You see, when a new MSP agent is brought online, a more senior agent is responsible for their ‘education’. That was the role Alert played in Jungle’s life. To outsiders, the MSP conditioning program is rather harsh, but so are the enemies of the Maximal Alliance. Alert and Jungle came to see the other as a ‘brother’.

After Jungle met Icerunner, he began for the first time in his existence to question the MSP and his role within it. That put great strain on Jungle’s and Alert’s friendship as Alert is a textbook MSP agent who lives and breaths the service. When Jungle finally broke with the MSP, Jungle and Alert became permanently estranged. The rift has widened with time.
