That night, after getting directions from his parents, Brian got in his Jeep and drove to Ally's house. He pulled inot the driveway and killed the engine. He took a deep breath, got out of the car and walked to the front door. He knocked. Ally came to the door.
"Oh, it's you."
"Ally, can I please talk to you?"
"What?"
"Will you go to dinner with me tomorrow night? So I can tell you everything?"
She didn't say anything right away and Brian got nervous for the millionth time that day. Subconsiouly, he started to bite his fingernails. Ally looked at him.
"Brian, don't bite your fingernails."
He took his hand from his mouth.
"I gues I'll go with ya."
"Really? I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow. And dres up. I'm taking you to a really nice Chinese place. You still like Chinese, don't you?"
"Yep."
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow at 7."
"Kay; bye."
"Bye."
And with that, Brian walked to his Jeep and got in. Once inside his Jeep, he let out a whoop for joy. Then he backed out of the driveway.
The next night, Brian got all dressed up. He had on black pants, a blue shirt, silk blue tie and a black vest (think '98 MTV Music Video Awards). He had talked to AJ yesterday and twice that day. He had also talked to Kevin. AJ still thought he was in love with Ally but Brian knew the truth. After had had gotten dressed, he got in his Jeep and drove to Ally's.
When she appeared at the door, Brian thought his jaw was going to drop. Ally looked amazing. Actually, that was an understatment. She was wearing a dark green dress with spaghetti straps that fell to her ankles. There was a slit up one side. The dress brought out her eyes and made them seem even more green. If there was one thing that Brian liked on girls, it was their eyes. Her hair was pulled back on both sides with clips.
"You told me to dress up," she told him when she saw his expression.
"Yeah. I did."
That was all Brian trusted himself to say at that moment.
The drive to the restaurant was pretty much silent bit that was OK becuase Brian still didn't trust himself. When they got there and sat down, it was Ally who started the conversation.
"Okay, Brian. You made me get all dressed up and brought me to this restaurant to tell me why I should forgive you. So talk. Why should I believe that you're a good guy?"
"Ally, you've known me most of my life. Why do you think I would change just because I have fame and money?"
"Well, that combo does pretty strange stuff to people."
"I haven't changed."
"Prove it."
At this point, a waiter came to take their orders. As soon as he left, Brian said,
"You want me to prove it?"
He took out his wallet and removed a picture of a little girl.
"This girl is Kiesha Sharper. I met her a few months ago in the hospital in the children's ward. She needed heart surgery but her parent's couldn't afford it. Let's just say, soon after, the money for the operation showed up. Then I found out that they were at risk of losing their house. More money showed up. Coincidence? I don't think so."
"Brian, that is the nicest thing I've ever heard."
Brian blushed a scarlet red.
The rest of the meal went fine. When Brian drove Ally home, the made plans for the next day.
For Brian, the rest of his vacation flew by. Almost everyday was spent with Ally. The last full day he was there was Ally's birthday. The two of them spent the entire day together.
The next day, Ally drove Brian to the airport where he was going to meet Kevin and the two of them would fly together to Europe to meet the others. Ally just dropped him off in front of the airport. They hugged each other and then Brian got out of the car.
"I'm coming back in November. I'll see ya then."
You better believe you will."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Then Ally drove off and Brian went into the airport. He got on the plane with Kevin and they flew to Europe
