Pre-wedding dos and don'ts

Don't
  • Dos and Don'ts for the day before your weddingDon't schedule your bachelor/bachelorette party the night before the wedding. You don't want a hangover on your wedding day.
  • Just before D-Day don't have any alcohol. Limit yourself to a glass of wine or champagne. Instead, drink plenty of water - it will make you feel and look good for your wedding day.
  • Don't drive if you've had too much to drink!
  • Don't eat spicy foods or rich, heavy desserts. They may give you indigestion.
  • Don't try to do "everything" yourself. Delegate responsibilities to your fiancé, your parents and to members of your wedding party.
  • Don't get involved in other activities just the day before your wedding.
  • Don't over do it! The day before the wedding is not the time to begin packing for the honeymoon.

Do

  • Do spend some quiet time alone to meditate or visualize your wedding day.
  • Do eat, don't just nibble. Eat well, you'll need plenty of energy for the day ahead.
  • Do maintain a sense of humor. Do spend time with people that are close to you... your parents, your bridesmaids or your fiancé.
  • Do try to spend some time with each of your personal guests at home before the wedding, for a change for sometime.
  • Do schedule de-stressors for yourself whether it's a massage, facial, manicure, etc.
  • Do something you enjoy that relaxes you, such as reading a book or listening to soothing music.
  • Do go to sleep early and sleep well. This may be difficult with all of the excitement, but it will help to look fresh on the D-day.
