In 2005 YWAM Chennai had three different Discipleship Training schools (DTSs). These schools are dedicated to help young people to know God and to make him known. Also there is a School of Evangelism and Pioneering (SOEP).
English DTS and Phase II leadership school are run both in Kottivakkam (a nice neighborhood in Southeast Madras near the beach).
An English DTS is also run in the peaceful setting of Gowriwakkam (10km south of Madras, in the Tambaram area).
The Tamil language DTS is run at the Padappi centre, in a very quiet and rural setting, about 40km southwest of Madras.
The School of Evangelism and Pioneering (SOEP) is held in the St. Thomas Mount area of Madras. The school aims at pioneering new works in India, Asia and beyond.
