WORKSHOP BIOS

Welcome to our Workshop Bios page. It is under construction but in here will tell a little bit about us and the band.

WORKSHOP'S BACKGROUND

Workshop was originally created when Jessica, Rick and his father (Rick sr.) would get together and jam and record short songs. For years it was the same until Rick and Jess spent more time together and worked on their songs of their own and then decided to start their own group. For months they struggled to find the "perfect" name. To this day they don't even remember how the name Workshop fell into their hands. At first it was a temporary name but they soon became attached to it. After months of practice, Workshop enrolled in a local talent show. This was one of their first performences and they took home a second place trophy out of twenty-one acts. So now if you want to hear or if you'd like to try out, (That's if you live in a local area, Long Island, N.Y.) e-mail them and they'd be glad to answer your request. Sooner or later Workshop will have a sound page where you can hear how they play.

WORKSHOP'S DRUMMER-Rick Hamlet

Rick Hamlet has been playing the drums for over 6yrs.Born and raised in New York,he then moved to Pennsylvania.Though the distance between drummer Rick Hamlet and guitarist Jessica Terlizzi is much, Workshop still remains strong when Rick Hamlet comes up to N.Y.on holidays during the year.Rick Hamlet has brought so much talent to Workshop. His amazing drum fills and fast drum rolls keep the rhythms together at any beat...fast or slow..(and boy are some of Workshop's beats fast!)Even at an early age..(9) Rick Hamlet nailed any song with such ease.Even though you could barely see him (since his drums towered over him)..Rick always astonished people with his amazing talents as a drummer!! Other than drumming..Rick loves to play football,Playstation, rollerblade, draw, surf the net, hang out with friends, listen to music..(such as Sublime, No Doubt,311,etc..)and anything else. He's one of the funniest guys you'll ever know,is one of the best drummers to work with and brings talent as well as his humor to Workshop!

WORKSHOP'S GUITARIST-Jessica Terlizzi

Jessica Terlizzi was born and raised on Long Island, New York and has had a strong interest in music since a child. Barely able to get her small hand around the neck of the guitar, Jessica soon grew into an amazing musician pulling off incredible solos and jamming to many songs. As she got older and bought more guitars, her skills increased dramatically that musicians in the field for over 20 years, were speechless. She was always a very humble guitarist, and was never prideful about her talent. As the years went on, Jessica became an excellent songwriter, creating a number of Workshop's hits. She plays with such ease that she makes playing the instrument seem simple. But that is far from the truth. A big fan of No Doubt, Sublime, Eric Clapton, and other great musicians, she has studied their music to get to where she is and has gotten her love for all kinds of music from them. Also an excellent athlete, Jessica plays on the high school softball team and participates in all the school band's performances. With a great sense of humor and easy to get along with, she is the best musician to ever work with.
