True Friends
If friends are the flowers in the garden
of life
There is beauty to behold even when we
are faced with strife
For in life there are occasions that we
are shown
The love we can rely upon, true friends
to call our own
And if there was only one person who
loved you today
It would not matter that there be only
one person whose love shone a light on
your pathway
Because all we really need is just one
person to truly understand
Only one person who whatever the
circumstance will take our hand
We get so caught up in life's drama, the
days and the years pass so quickly
And it's sad to say that people lose time
and become too busy
And tho the heart it does know love's
true worth
Some people forget this during their life
on Earth
For people they are but human with
fears and grief and misguided in the
application of free will
And so one of life's treasures is to find
a friend who will look within and love us
still
