Something... But we don't know what.

*sunday, january 6

Tuesday's gone with the wind... So many awesome things happened this weekend. That's not to say that I'm ready to go back to school, but this last weekend has been great enough to soften the blow that will be January. On Friday I slept over at Maria's house in Scarborough. It's not so bad as they say... pretty damn cold, but so is the fuckin rest of this god-forsaken city. The thing I like about Scarborough is not so much the attitude of the smaller-town, but the product of the attitude, which is just a difference in customs. Almost a completely different culture which can totally accept me for a day or two. It's practically like taking a vacation into a different life, but it's only the price of a subway ticket and the hour-long ride to Scarborough Centre station. So that was my sleepover. It also involved many adventures with Fonzy (like the Fonze) the hampster (or is it Fonzie?) and the beach.

Yesterday was Saturday... the day I went to the beach in Scarborough, but also the Big Night Out with Meredith. We went to see the Erin Smith Band. Her friend Mike is the drummer. Now that was amazing. First we went out to this bar, and all got in despite... complications... Then we went to the show, which was at the Horseshoe Tavern. I saw the checkerboard floor ;) And I funked out hardcore... Mere said my dancing was good. I was flattered. There was this crazy guy with curly hair who was rockin out hardcore. Did you know that to me Gin and Tonics taste like pine trees? Crazy! Until you add lime... and then it's like Lime Tree! YES! Anyway, we ended up staying up until the wee hours of the morning (and I mean WEE... like 4 am!) and it was quite an experience. A good finale to Mere's x-mas visit to Toronto. Can't wait 'til Montreal in february... ;D
