Rei Hino lives with her grandfather at the Hikawa Shinto Temple where she is training to be a priestess. Rei is always in a constant fight with Usagi. Despite all the bickering, Rei does care for Usagi, and sticks up for her from time to time. She goes to T&A Private schools for girls where she is learning poetry and music.
As Sailor Mars, she is passionate and headstrong. Her attacks are made of fire and her ofuda scrolls, which paralyzes evil creatures.
