The gentle glow
Of candle light
Bright warm and calm
Slowly burning
Licking the melting wax

 
Waves of calmness
Wash over me
By the still flame burning bright
The simple flame
Sits there
Quiet peace

 
Silently burning
It flickers and flies
Like a blanket caught in the wind
Anchored by an unseen weight
Its shadows dance along the wall
