Strange things always happened
In this California town that’s small
Until Buffy Summers arrived
And made evil take a fall
Its name was Boca del Inferno
The mouth of hell it sat atop
They renamed it Sunnydale
The place where evil set up shop
Buffy was a vampire slayer
She was the chosen one
Even though she was in danger
She always tried to have fun
Buffy did not fight alone
She had help from her friends
The Scooby Gang, the Slayerettes
The adventure never ends
Xander always tried his best
Although he wasn’t very strong
Willow helped with research things
Her information was seldom wrong
Giles was her watcher
He taught what she needed to know
Together they all fought evil
And as people they did grow
Then there was Angel, Cryptic guy
The slayer’s true soul mate
They had problems at the start
But not even they can deny fate
Angel was not all he said
They found he was a vampire
Even though he now had a soul
Buffy considered him a liar
Angel was a vicious killer
Many centuries before
He killed his family and his town
Destruction never became a bore
Until the day in Romania
He killed a gypsy girl
Her clan wanted their revenge
A curse on Angel they did unfurl
They returned Angel’s soul to him
And all his evil deeds came back
He had to live with all his guilt
His unbeating heart no longer black
There was a problem with this curse
His guilt always on his mind
He would lose his newfound soul
If true happiness he did find
Buffy and Angel became closer
On Buffy’s seventeenth birthday
Angel achieved true happiness
And returned to his wicked ways
Now Buffy fought against Angel
After all the times they fought together
He was on the side of evil now
She knew her Angel was gone forever
Until one day he went too far
And tried to suck the world into hell
Buffy and friends formed a plan
To give back his soul with a spell
Buffy and Angel fought one last time
While Willow cast the spell
Angel was back, but it was too late
She had to send him to hell
It took months to get over it
Before Buffy was ready to let go
Just as her Angel returned from hell
For what reason, no one did know
Buffy kept his return a secret
As long as she possibly could
But when her friends finally found out
They reacted like she knew they would
Her friends were not forgiving
All they could remember was the pain
And all the things he put them through
His return wasn’t much of a gain
Friendships were saved, things got better
Buffy and Angel were going strong
The vampire and slayer were back together
But things couldn’t stay that way for long
Angel knew they had no future
But Buffy couldn’t look ahead
How could they be together
When she’s human and he’s undead
Angel decided he had to leave
He didn’t want to break her heart
He knew they couldn’t be together
The only way was to be apart
So Angel moved to Los Angeles
Being near her he couldn’t bear
Buffy was always in his thoughts
And for her he would always care
Their relationship was rocky
But they’ll always be in each other’s hearts
Fate had brought them together
But destiny had torn them apart
