It had now been 2 weeks since Kayla had been hit, and she had shown no sign of waking from her coma. Isaac had stopped seeing Gemmah as soon as he found out that Jaymi was pregnant, but Gemmah wouldn't give up. She kept on calling him and going to his house. Jaymi and Isaac had gone to a doctor across town and Jaymi had used a fake name. Of course they had asked if she knew who the father was so she said no... she didn't.
"Hi Mom... I thought you might need this" Jaymi said, going into Kayla's room with a cup of strong coffee for Mrs. Bennet. Mrs. Bennet looked up from the book she was reading.
"Thank you sweetheart. I do need this..." Mrs. Bennet said, giving Jaymi a smile. Jaymi, Malcom and Mrs. Bennet had spent nearly their every waking moment in Kayla's room. Every time Jaymi was at the hospital she would go and see the new born babies. Neither Isaac or Jaymi had told their parents, but they knew they would have to eventually. Jaymi had decided to have the baby... she didn't know if she would keep it or not. Isaac had suggested putting it up for adoption and Jaymi was still thinking about it. She was so confused.
"Mom, I'm just going to see if any new babies have been born" Jaymi said as casually as she could.
"Ok" Mrs. Bennet said. Jaymi smiled and then walked out of the room. As she was walking, she looked down at her stomach and then put her hand on it. She couldn't believe she had a life inside of her. She got to the babies and saw that none had been born that night. She stood there and watched the babies. She smiled again and looked down at her stomach.
"You're here again.." A voice said from beside Jaymi. Jaymi turned and saw a girl about her age standing next to her. She also noticed that the girl was very pregnant.
"You're pregnant too?" Jaymi blurted out, unable to stop herself. The girl gave Jaymi a strange look.
"Yeah... I'm pregnant... why? are you?". Jaymi nodded.
"I'm only about a month though..." Jaymi said, feeling like an idiot for some reason. The girl smiled and nodded.
"I see you here nearly every day... I was wondering why... I guess I know now right?"
"Yeah... this is half the reason... my- my sister is in hospital... she... she was hit by a car..." Jaymi said, not looking at the girl. She heard the girl gasp.
"Oh my god.. I'm so sorry... oh man... are you ok?" She asked. Jaymi shrugged.
"I have my day's where I just sit by her bed and cry.. she's in a coma... the doctors don't know when she will... or if she will wake up" Jaymi said.
"Oh god... I would never be able to handle that... I've got a twin sister... if anything happened to her I don't know what I'd do..." The girl said.
"You- you have a twin?... I do to! it's my twin that is here... she's in the coma... I've never met anyone else who had a twin before... oh my god..." Jaymi said, suddenly feeling a strong connection to the girl. The girl's face filled with pain.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! It's your twin sister?... I can just imagine how you're feeling..." The girl said, reaching over and giving Jaymi a hug. Jaymi suddenly started to cry. She didn't know what came over her. She hadn't cried for a few days.
"It's ok... let it out...." The girl said, that made Jaymi cry harder. Once Jaymi calmed down, the girl let go of her and smiled.
"I'm Kassie..." Kassie said.
"Jaymi... " Jaymi said.
"Kassie! there you are! geez you know I hate it when you don't tell me where you're going!" A girl who looked exactly like Kassie said as she came running down the hall.
"Calm down Ari! God, I just came here to see the babies..." Kassie said, sounding annoyed. Ari turned to Jaymi.
"Hi..." She said slowly.
"Oh! Ari... this is Jaymi... she's a twin to! only her twin is-" Kassie stopped herself and looked at Jaymi.
"It's ok.. you can tell her" Jaymi said quietly.
"Ok.. well, Jaymi's sister is in hospital... she was hit by a car and now she's in a coma..." Kassie said. Ari's eye's widened.
"Oh my-... Oh wow... I'm so sorry! I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to Kass... especially since she's... well... pregnant" Ari said, giving Jaymi a brief hug. Jaymi looked at her watch.
"Uhh... I really gotta get back now... my Mom will be wondering where I am" Jaymi said.
"Hey Jaymi! There you are! I've-" Isaac said as he came up behind Jaymi. He cut himself off as he spotted Kassie and Ari. Kassie and Ari looked at Isaac in surprise.
"Isaac!" Both girls said.
"Oh wow... Kassie... Ari!... when did you guy's come back?" Isaac asked. Jaymi looked up at Isaac in confusion. He knew these girls?.
"About three months ago" Kassie said.
"You know these two?" Jaymi asked. Isaac nodded, smiling.
"Yeah... I met them about a year ago... Ari was working in this restaurant and she was our waitress... you should hear these girls sing... man they are good" Isaac said, totally forgetting that Jaymi herself sang as well. Ari and Kassie laughed.
"Shut up Ike... we aren't that good..." Ari said, giving Isaac a smile.
"How's Tay?" Ari asked quietly. Isaac nodded.
"He's ok... he's going through a rough time at the moment with Kayla being in hospital and all... oh shit... did you two know about Kayla?" Isaac asked.
"Yeah... I told them about Kayla... they just didn't know her name" Jaymi spoke up.
"Ohhh right... but yeah... Tay was there when Kayla got hit" Isaac said.
"Oh god.. is he ok?" Ari asked. Isaac nodded.
"He's better than what he was... he's in Kayla's room now, seeing her." Isaac said.
"I'm gonna go check on Kayla" Jaymi said.
"Ok... I'll be there soon ok?" Isaac said. Jaymi nodded and then walked away, leaving Isaac with Kassie and Ari.

"Hi Taylor...." Jaymi said as she walked into Kayla's room. She saw that her mother had gone. "Where's my Mom?"
"Oh, hi Jaymi... she went home to get some sleep... Isaac said that he would bring you home later.. hey, where is Isaac?" Taylor asked.
"Do you know anyone by the name's of Kassie and Ari?" Jaymi asked. Taylor's face filled with surprise.
"Yeah I do... why?"
"That's where Ike is... he's with them... how do you guy's know them anyway?" Jaymi asked, sitting down on the end of Kayla's bed. Taylor looked away from Jaymi, as if he had something to hide, but then looked at her again.
"Well, we, we being my whole family, met them about a year ago... Ari was working in this restaurant and we went there for dinner... anyway, Ari was our waitress and Zac met Kassie outside... he invited her to come sit with us so she did and we became good friends with them both... and their Mom... their dad died in a car accident about 11 years ago... then about 8 months ago they moved to Ohio... so Ike's with them now?" Taylor asked.
"Yep... I met Kassie first... she's the pregnant one."
"SHE'S WHAT?" Taylor yelled. "I take it you didn't know?"
"No... I didn't... wow... I wonder how Ike is taking this" Taylor said. Jaymi gave Taylor a strange look.
"Why do you wonder that?" Jaymi asked.
"Kassie used to be Ike's girlfriend... but when they moved they broke up" Taylor said.
"Kassie is Isaac's ex?" Jaymi asked. Taylor nodded. "Is Ari your ex?" Jaymi asked, her eye's narrowing.
"No... well... we went on a few dates, but nothing serious..." Taylor lied, knowing Jaymi would be pissed with him for some weird reason if he said that Ari was an ex girlfriend.

"How long have you been pregnant for?" Isaac asked Kassie. Kassie smiled.
"Nearly 8 months... so I'm nearly there... Jaymi is your girlfriend isn't she?" Kassie asked. Isaac smiled and nodded.
"Yeah... I've been with her for nearly 2 months... I think... Jaymi knows how long we've been together for... " Isaac said, his voice trailing off.
"So... you're gonna be a daddy are you?" Kassie asked, giving Isaac a playful grin. The two of them were sitting outside in this garden area for patients... they weren't really meant to be there but they didn't care. Kassie and Ari's Mom was in hospital, she was having tests done to see if she had breast cancer.
"Yep... this is really weird talking to you about Jaymi..." Isaac said.
"It shouldn't be... we broke up on good terms... and I'm happy that you found someone to love... as you can tell, I did..." Kassie said, looking down at her big stomach.
"What made you come back?" Isaac asked.
"Well, it's a long story" Kassie warned.
"I'm not going anywhere"
"Ok then... well, once we got to Ohio... about 3 weeks later, I met Kurt... After we broke up I thought I wouldn't ever find anyone else that I loved like I loved you... but then I met Kurt... I was head over heel's in love the first time I saw him... So, after about a month... we started going out with each other... then I... I well... slept with him and I got pregnant... on my first time I got pregnant. I was terrified that Kurt would break up with me... but he didn't... Ari was the first person I told and she told me to tell Kurt... so I did. He told me that he would stick by me.. he was 16 and he was really happy about it... he wanted this baby. Then together we told our parents... his mom and dad and my mom... all three of them blew up at us... and mom decided after about 7 months of my pregnancy we would move back here. Both Kurt and I were heart broken, and for the longest time I wouldn't speak to my mom... but Kurt and I broke up anyway... and there you go... Ari, mom and I are back here and I'm gonna have a baby in a few weeks." Kassie said. Isaac sat in silence, taking in Kassie's story.
"Wow... you're right, it was a long story" Isaac said. Both of them laughed.
"I'm glad to be here with you Ike... I really am... and it's great that you are staying with Jaymi... and your not running away from your responsibilities..." Kassie said giving Isaac a hug.
