The weeks passed and Mr. And Mrs. Hanson were beginning to regret letting Karen go with them on tour, Taylor didn’t seem to be enjoying her company and she seemed to be incredibly needy.
Isaac sat at the table on the bus trying to write Sabrina a letter. He wished he could hold her. He wondered if she wanted to hold him too. He had on her sweater it was cold but even if it wasn’t he would still be wearing it.
He missed her. He refused to mope about it. He didn’t want to whine. He acted like he was perfectly okay. He was enjoying the tour about as much as he possibly could. But still there was a gap in his heart nagging for Sabrina.
Zac came over and sat next to him. He put his head on the table. “God, I hate that girl.”
“I know, I know.”
“Why did she have to go with us?”
“You know Tay asked the same thing yesterday.”
“I think we should just accidentally leave her in the next city.”
“Come on Zac, that’s mean.”
“Yes, well.” He looked up and noticed that he was writing. “What are you writing?”
“A letter to Rina.”
“Oh, tell her I said hi.”
“I will.”
“You miss her?”
“Yeah.”
“I kinda miss her too. I gotta write her a letter about her story.”
“Oh, how is it?”
“Good. They always are.”
“Can I read it?”
“Sure. I warn you though the hero looks suspiciously like you.”
Isaac chuckled. “I wish I could give her something that would express how much I just miss her.”
“Well, what is the thing that you miss most about her.”
“Holding her.”
“Holding her like Taylor holds Karen?”
“No, not like lust holding just holding her close... like watching a movie or something.” Isaac’s eyes got this glassy look about them as he tried to describe what he meant by holding.
Zac realized right there how much his brother missed his girlfriend. “Why don’t you send her a sweat shirt? You know like your green Oklahoma State sweatshirt that you wear all of the time. That way she could feel like you are holding her when she wears it.”
Isaac smiled. “Yeah, that sounds like a plan. Thanks, Zac.”
“That’s what I’m here for you. Hey can you name your first born son Zac?” Zac laughed.
“But of course, dear brother.”
“Knew that I could count on you.”
Isaac shook his head as he turned back to his letter that he was writing to Sabrina.
Dear Sweety,
Hey how are you doing? I’m tired but I’m having so much fun I can’t describe it to you. The crowds are so loud and energetic. They are so awesome. I just can’t convey to you what it’s like.
Taylor and Karen I don’t think are getting along as well as they were. I think Karen is trying to con Taylor into doing things he doesn’t want. Like when we went to the mall the other day she passed a jewelry store and she looked to Tay and actually asked him to buy her a diamond necklace.
When Taylor gave her a disbelieving look she countered with telling him that he’s a very famous rock star that he has the money to buy it for her. Zac and I stood there with our mouths open we couldn’t believe that she actually said that. I was pissed. Well lucky for Taylor mom wanted to leave.
Well that’s what’s going on here. I miss you so much. I wish you were here. I wish you would let me get you something. I really hate not being able to get you anything. I know that you don’t want me to buy you stuff because someone accused you of only going out with me because I was wealthy….(Wow reading that I fell arrogant. I hate that feeling.) I miss you so much I really wish that I could hold you in my arms. I love you.
P.S. Zac said he liked your story. He’ll probably get online and tell you what he thinks needs changed. He’s letting me read it so…I’m gonna seal this and get it to you so I can go read it. Miss ya.
