Sabrina

Chris found Taylor in his hotel room with his brothers packing to leave for the next destination.

“Tay… I called Tulsa World.”

“Yeah, and…?” Taylor asked looking up from his packing.

“I talked to a friend of mine there and she’s going to retract the story and give the fans a different story.”

“Oh, thank goodness.”

“And Sabrina?” Isaac asked. Taylor looked at his brother strangely.

“You are going to have to tell the public at the next press conference that you are involved with a young woman that you don’t want to give the name of. Check with Sabrina and make sure that she didn’t tell those girls that you were dating her. And if she didn’t then you can say that the girl that you are dating isn’t this Sabrina girl.”

“Okay.” Isaac nodded.

“I don’t understand, Ike.” Taylor said scrunching his eyebrows together at his brother.

“Well Karen tried to get Sabrina to tell the paper that I had raped her and she said no. And to get revenge she told the paper about the two of us.”

“Good grief. I’m sorry, Isaac.”

“Don’t, Taylor.”

“But...”

“But nothing. You didn’t know. Just leave it at that. We are getting everything straightened out. It’s being taken care of. Don’t worry…just let things happen.”

Taylor nodded slowly. “Thank you very much Chris I don’t know what we would do without you.”

“You wouldn’t be a band.” He laughed.

“Yes, we would.” Zac said. “All you did was help get us where we are now.” Zac said with his nose in the air. “Go away my slave boy.” He said trying to sound stuck up.

“I think Zac needs a nap.”

“We know he does.” Isaac said.

They were on the bus on their way to New Jersey and Isaac decided now was as good a time as any to call Sabrina. He got into his bunk and dialed her number. It rang three times. Way too many times for her house. When she answered out of breath.

“Rina, where were you?”

“I just got home from school. You’re lucky my classes only run till 11 on Thursdays.”

“Man, I almost forgot you have a normal life.” He laughed.

“Yes, well some of us aren’t big rock stars. Some of us have to go to school.”

“Yes, yes, yes.” He sighed “Have you told any of those girls that you were dating me?”

“No. I just ignore them and keep walking.”

“Good.”

“Why?”

“To cover this up I had to do some things. And one of them is admit that I have a girlfriend.”

“Oh I’m sorry, I know how much you wanted to keep us a secret.”

“Yes, well…I have to give up the rest of my private life because Karen is evil.”

“You don’t have to give up everything. Just the fact that you're taken.”

“I know that’s why I wanted to make sure you hadn’t said anything because that way I could say it isn’t the girl that you were told in the papers.”

“There ya go. Ike, I would love to talk to you for a while longer but I have to go to work. Can you call me later?”

“I can try. No promises.”

“I don’t expect any.”

Isaac smiled. “Hopefully I’ll talk to you later.”

“Yeah. Bye.”

“Bye.” Isaac clicked the phone off. He laid back against the wall and sighed.
