Prologue

When looking at the world around me, I can't help but wonder if people see things as I do, or if they just see. If they allow color, sounds, scents, and tastes to strengthen what they see like so many others and I do. I'm curious to know if most just allow the looks to make their judgements deceive them, just seeing as so many others do. And I just want to know why they do that.
You can't just look at something, and automatically see it. You have to understand it. If it's an inanimate object, someone had to make it. What feelings and memories did they put into that design? If it's someone else, you have to see past the façade they have up to see who's underneath.
Just seeing deprives you of life. Deprives you of everything that you should be grasping onto tightly with your fists and holding close to you as if it were a part of you.
When you're blind you can do so much more than what the seeing can, and it's the same for the opposite. But I believe if we were all to be part blind this world would be so much better. We would no longer 'just see' anything.
Working with those who are blind is one of the most calming and gratifying experiences anyone could experience. They see you as a soul, mind, and heart, but not as a body. How much better could you get? You are no longer getting judged by your clothes or your physical appearance.
You are accepted for your thoughts and your compassion. For the way you care for someone else and help them as much as you can without disabling them of pride and self-confidence. You enable to build them up, and you do not suffer the need to tear them back down.
There are times when I just wish the world would stop for a moment and realize that they can't 'just see' anything. For when you do, you do not see anything at all.
