Chapter 6

"Ohhhh." Dahven groaned, stretching her arms above her head. "So what is there to do here?" She asked as she laid on her backpacks on the floor.
"Well, it depends on what you wanna do." Randy said shrugging. "There's movies, umm bowling, which I don't recommend. There's also a skating park, and some other cool stuff. Small mall."
"Oh, okay no movies. If I sit in a dark place I'll fall asleep probably. And I don't wanna do that."
Randy stood up. "Hmm, well. What do you wanna do?"
"Are any of your friends around?" Dahven asked looking up at her from her spot on the ground.
Randy smiled and sat on her bed. "Of course!" She said before she grabbed her phone and started dialing. "We can have a small party." She suggested.
Dahven smiled at her. "Yeppers." She replied stretching again. She covered her mouth with her hand, to stifle a yawn.
"Are you sure you don't wanna sleep?" Randy asked kindly.
"Nope." Dahven said smiling. "I have plenty of time to sleep on the plane tomorrow. And then when we get to my house we can sleep all day." She said as he eyes drooped a little.
"If you say so." Randy said as she started to dial another number. "They should all be here shortly. I called Amanda and now I'm calling Kim and they should get every round up in a few short minutes." Randy said smiling brightly.
Dahven laughed. "Good, how many people are coming? And do they expect me to memorize their names too?"
Randy laughed and shook her head, she held up her index finger. "Yeah, Kim? Yeah, it's Randy. Listen my friend from Tulsa is here and we wanna have a small party before we leave tomorrow. Think you can handle this?" She asked seriously.
A small smile played on her lips. "Thanks heaps, Kim." She said hanging up her phone. "You know for some reason everyone expects you to have an accent."
Dahven frowned. "Bad stereo-typing dude." She said in her surfer accent.
"Well, do you wanna do anything before everyone gets here?" Randy asked looking at her watch.
"Hmm, mind if I use my phone in private? I need to call my bro and I think we might have a family conversation." She explained softly.
Randy smiled and nodded. "Sure. I'll just be in the kitchen getting a few things ready."
Dahven smiled gratefully at her friend. "Thanks. I'm sorry to run you out of your room though." She apologized.
"Hey, it's no problem." Randy assured, smiling as she walked out of her room.
Taking out her cell phone, Dahven dialed the oh-so-familiar number and waited for someone to answer it.

~ Isaac ~

Hmm, I wonder what D is doing right now. Isaac thought to himself as he enjoyed his time alone in his hotel room. He massaged the pain in his neck from looking up at the ceiling for so long.
He rolled over and stared at the picture of Dahven on his nightstand. It was actually a picture of Dahven and his family. But it still had Dahven in it.
Remembering the day it had been taken Isaac started laughing. They were at a carnival for her birthday. She had spent the night, the night before because her parents were busy and needed her out of the way. So as a treat for her, his parents took her and the whole family to the carnival.
They rode all the rides. Even the ones that Dahven had been scared of riding. Him, Taylor, and Zac had coaxed her to ride even on the fast rides and she had almost thrown up on most of them. When they were getting the picture taken you couldn't' see it, but she had a blue mouth from a snow cone, while he had a green one, Taylor a dark red one, and Zac's was purple.
Dahven also had to get the gum out of her hair that Isaac had put in as a joke. She didn't find it funny at first but she started laughing after a while. Yet her laughter ended abruptly when she found out that her hair had to be cut just to get the gum out.
She had cried and blamed him for it. Which is was his fault. Dahven was so stubborn about that, that she said she'd rather just leave the gum in her hair instead of having it cut.
In the end, Dahven's hair was three inches shorter and was fuming. But to make her feel a little bit better, Taylor had put paste in Isaac's hair and he had to get his cut also. She wasn't exactly thrilled by it, but she thought that it was only fair.
Isaac laughed at the memories that he and Dahven had piled up with each other and his family. He was about to reminisce some more when the family's cell phone rang.
"Yeah?" He asked as he rolled over and grabbed it off the stand in between his and Taylor's bed.
    "D!" He shouted happily.

~ Dahven ~

"Hi, Isaac." Dahven said quietly. When he shouted her name she smiled. "What have you been up to?"
"Reminiscing, huh? Oh, the carnival!" Dahven said laughing. "Yeah, I remember. I remember that too. Gum in the hair, yeah and I remember the paste in the hair too." She said laughing again.
She felt tears sting her eyes sharply. She missed being a little kid. Everything was so simple then. She was Isaac's best friend, she was always at his house, Arie wasn't close to having a child, and her parent's were always putting her off onto the Hanson's. Life was good then.
"Yeah, I'm at Randy's. I'd have her talk to you, but she doesn't know that I know you. We're about to have a small party soon." Dahven said as she sat on Randy's bed. "Yeah, well I know that you should be resting and all, but I had to call and tell you that I made it and that everything is fine." She said softly.
They talked for a few minutes but then Dahven started to hear car door slams and feet stomping. "Listen Isaac. I should go now, and you need to sleep." She said softly.
"I love you too. I'll see you soon. Yep, buh bye." Dahven said before she hung up. She slowly put her phone back into her bag. Then she walked down the stairs and saw a room full of people. "Wow." She said smiling.
Randy laughed and started to introduce everyone. When they got through the line of people Dahven's eyes were huge. Randy started dancing and singing along too, while Dahven watched her in amazement. Then her brain started storming. I have an idea. She sang to herself as she started to mingle with a few people.
