Shannon groaned. They were on their way to an interview. Their twelfth one that day actually. 'Let's Let Go' was a big hit on the radio and from what they were told their video was getting big too. She was getting tired though. Her eyelids were dropping and she felt like she was going to faint.
Soon she was sitting behind a large wooden table with Shana sitting next to her. Beverages were lined up in front of them. She smiled as she grabbed a can of Jolt cola. She laughed as she remembered Zac saying it was 'The ultimate high.'
Quickly, she gulped it down, and her eyes burned with tears because her stomach wasn't used to taking in a drink so fast. She waited it out and questions were soon being fired at them.
'Where are you from? How did you get started? Where's your family? Who has the tattoo? Which is the leader? Who started the band? What inspired you to do music?'
Just millions of questions like that were thrown at them and they answered each one enthusiastically. They were still getting used to it, but they could tell that this was going to be a favorite of theirs.
When the interview was over their schedule for the day ended. It was now go-home-and-sleep-time for them.
Shannon gladly accepted the ride from Casey so that they wouldn't have to worry about catching a cab or bus.
"Ike, just face it. They're not going to be here in the next few seconds." Taylor said as they were waiting outside of Shana and Shannon's hotel room.
Zac rolled his eyes. Isaac and Taylor had been fighting on this subject for the last five minutes. He was finding it quite old and boring. "Look, I'll get us in." Zac said as he walked away from his brother's.
A few minutes late Zac was back and was dangling a key in front of him. "A kid always has to do the job." He said smiling triumphantly.
Isaac relaxed a little a laughed as Zac opened the door and let them all in.
"Do you really think that what Mr. Morrow said was true?" Taylor asked again.
"Yes." Isaac said softly as he stared at his shoes.
"Bye Casey." Shannon called as she ran inside the hotel.
Shana followed and they just kept running. Making it a race between them. They were laughing the whole way because one time Shana tripped over her foot and Shannon knocked a small child over as they were running on the eleventh level. But once they reached the twentieth level they slowed down a little.
Shannon stopped at the door and was able to push it open. "Aww, what the hell." She said as she walked inside. She was a bit taken back at seeing Isaac, Taylor, and Zac there watching t.v.
"Hey, guys." Shana said smiling.
Taylor gave her a small smile and Zac looked slightly uncomfortable. Isaac just sat there. Staring.
"So how long did your boyfriend live with you in your parents house?" Isaac asked calmly.
Shannon blinked. "Wait a minute. I think I fell asleep in our conversation." She said shaking her head to clear her jumbled thoughts. "What are you talking about? I've never lived with a boyfriend. And I've never let a boyfriend live with me. Hell, I've never even really had a boyfriend."
Isaac just stared at her fuming. "Your father called me, and told me all about your boyfriend living with you in his house." He said angrily.
"I've never had that happen." Shannon said trying to control her voice.
"Yeah, right." Isaac said tossing her a wry glance.
Shannon's blood bubbled. "That's it!" She shouted at him. "You already had me guilty before you even came to see me." She said as she eyed him carefully. Hoping that what she sad wasn't true, shockingly it became a harsh reality. "Leave." She said calmly. "Leave!" She shouted as she pointed to the door.
Slowly, all three of them left and Shannon broke down and cried. Her father was coming to take her away, and the guy whom she thought liked her obviously trusted her father more than he trusted her.
"Ike you were way harsh with Shannon today." Zac said softly.
"Zac, don't get into this. I may snap at you and I don't want that happening." Isaac said evenly. In his head he knew he did the right thing. But his heart seemed to have a different opinion on the subject.
Groaning he rolled over and slammed his pillow onto his head. "This is totally unfair." He muttered to himself.
Knowing that Shannon would be taken to a foster care facility made Isaac just sort of freaked out. And her father calling him didn't make it anymore easier for him to deal with.
"God, you know we're going to be split up soon?" Shannon questioned quietly. She was staring at Shana who was in her bed across from hers.
Shana rolled over and faced Shannon. "But remember we are leaving again to be together."
Shannon nodded. "I know. Still, I don't want to leave all of this. And I certainly don't want to leave you again." She said as a burning tear slowly slid down her left cheek.
A hot tear slid down Shana's right cheek. 'This is sooo unfair.' She thought to herself.
Soon they both forced themselves into a restless sleep.
