# 15

"Look I don't know why you are so hung up with it." Shannon said as she and Isaac were walking down the street away from where Shana and her were just singing.

Isaac shrugged his shoulders. "I can't help it. I hate it when some one lies to me."

"Do you think lying is easy for me?" Shannon questioned. They were both staring at the ground. "It's not. I hate lying, but you don't seem to understand that I had to lie."

"You didn't have to lie to me." He said quietly.

Shannon stopped walking and looked at him. "How was I supposed to know that? How do I know that you haven't told your parents yet?"

Isaac met her gaze. "I didn't tell them. Neither has Zac or Tay."

At the mention of his brother's names they both looked at them. They were with Shana laughing and pushing each other around.

Shannon smiled at the scene and so did Isaac.

"You protect Taylor and Zac don't you?" Shannon asked as she continued to watch the scene unfold before her.

"Yes." Isaac answered as he too watched the trio fool around.

"Then you should understand this. I had to take care of Shana when nothing was working right for us. I will do anything for her and our music. And if it means running away and lying, then it is a small price to pay for being together." Shannon said as she walked over to Shana, Taylor, and Zac.

"What happened?" Shana asked as she noticed Shannon's frown.

Shrugging, Shannon's frown deepened and she looked at Zac and Taylor.

Taylor sighed. "He's stubborn, isn't he?"

Shannon looked at him. "Yes." She said smiling slightly. "More stubborn than I am."

Shana laughed. "That's a record to beat." She commented to Taylor and Zac.

Zac was looking around a little bit and then Isaac came over.

"So when is your video going to be done?" He questioned avoiding Shannon's gaze.

"I dunno." Shana said shrugging. "They told us either today or tomorrow."

"Okay break's over!" They heard Tamra shout to everyone.

Shana and Shannon waved to the guys.

"Well, time to get back to work. While we still have our jobs." Shannon said more to Isaac than to anyone else.

Isaac just looked at the ground.

"Smooth one, Shann." Shana whispered fiercely. "Instead of making up just make things worse."

"I will." Shannon whispered back. "I tried making up, it's his turn if he wants to be friends."

~ Hanson's Points Of View ~

"So what happened?" Zac asked as they went back over behind the lights.

Isaac was quiet for a moment. "Nothing really. We talked a little bit. That's basically it." He said shrugging.

"Did you forgive her?" Taylor questioned.

"No." Isaac said shaking his head.

Taylor ran his hand through his hair in aggravation. "Man, Ike, she doesn't need this from you. I think it's you who needs her forgiveness." He stated.

Isaac looked at him in shock. "What?!"

"You heard me." Taylor replied.

"I know I heard you. You're standing right there. Why did you say it?" Isaac questioned.

"Shannon has tried to get your forgiveness what, like three times now? I think that it's your turn to ask for her forgiveness." Taylor explained.

"You seem to be forgetting that she LIED to us. L-I-E-D." Isaac pointed out. He was getting frustrated with everyone thinking that he should forgive such a thing so quickly.

Zac rolled his eyes. "She needed to!" He nearly shouted.

Angry scowls were tossed in their direction and they quieted down a little.

"Shannon needed to. She needed to protect herself and Shana. Wouldn't you do the same for us? Or Jessica? Or Avery? Or Mackie? Or Zoe?" Zac asked looking up at his older brother.

Isaac was silent.

"You know you would." Taylor answered for him.

"It's what people who are close to each other do for one another." Zac tried to explain.

~ Shana's And Shannon's Point Of View ~

"Izzy." Shana said as they sat down for a few seconds before they were supposed to start singing again.

"Yeah?" Shannon asked quietly.

"I was wrong."

"Hmm, about what?" Shannon asked as she closed her eyes and tilted her face towards the sun that was beating down upon them.

"About that comment you made to Isaac." Shana replied as she fidgeted with the collar of her shirt.

Shannon shrugged her shoulders slightly. "It's not your fault. I know that lying is a bad thing. I shouldn't need to do it, but I have to. So I do. If that makes me a bad person, well then I'm a bad person."

Shana laughed a little. "You are not a bad person. You have good intentions and reasons for lying. No one could call you a bad person."

"It'd be nice just to lay here and soak up the sun, wouldn't it?" Shannon asked as she laid back a little bit more on the sidewalk.

Knowing that the subject was to change, Shana dropped it and leaned back also. She stared up at the sky and smiled. "The elves are smiling down on us." She said laughing.

"The elves are in your head, stupid." Shannon replied as she closed her eyes and relaxed a little.

"Don't mess with the elves, man." Shana warned.

"Oh, I won't." Shannon said dryly. "They scare me too much for me to mess with them."

Shana nodded her head. "Good, 'cause these elves are not nice." She said as she sat up.

"C'mon girls we're ready!" Tamra shouted at them.

"Skyye, have you gone deaf recently?" Shannon asked as she slowly stood up.

Shana shook her head. "No. Why?" She asked curiously.

"No reason really." Shannon said as she slowly stretched out her back. "But have you noticed that whenever we are needed someone screams or shouts at us?"

Shana started laughing. "No, I didn't notice. But it's true."

"Girls!" Casey shouted at them for them to hurry up.

Shana laughed some more and Shannon giggled a little. Her mood slightly lifting.

~ Three Hours Later ~

"I can't believe you guys waited for us to finish." Shana said in awe as Shannon and her walked off the set.

Taylor smiled. "Well, we have a free day, and we needed something to do."

Zac started laughing. "And we didn't exactly want to stay in our house doing nothing."

"So you did this out of boredom?" Shannon questioned.

"No. We wanted to see you two again." Taylor answered.

Shannon nodded her head. "Coolness."

Shana laughed. "So are we going to do anything? Or are you guys done seeing us?"

"Well, we can do something if you two want to do something." Zac said as he was running around the group of friends.

""Let's definitely do something." Shana said as she pushed Shannon over to Isaac's car and shoved her into the front seat.

Shana sat in between Zac and Taylor again.

"So what are we doing?" Isaac asked as he got in the driver's seat.

"Just drive around for a while." Taylor said as he leaned back in his seat relaxing.

Shannon was sitting abnormally straight in her seat and Isaac was a little awkward but okay. Zac was sticking his head out the window spitting on cars as they drove by them.
