Chapter 1

"You're back!" Dahven shouted gleefully, her face splitting into a grin as she watched a minivan pull into the driveway that she was standing in.
Eagerly she hugged Mrs. Hanson, Avery, Mackie, Jessica, and Mr. Hanson as they piled out of the automobile.
Yet she watched as the guys as they unloaded the back of the van. "Hey, guys." She said slowly, unsure of what was going on.
"Oh, hey Charm." Taylor replied nonchalantly, still unloading.
"Charm." Zac acknowledged., grabbing his bags and walking off.
"Hey, D." Isaac said grabbing his bags also and walking away.
Dahven stood there with her mouth open. "Wait a minute!" She shouted after a moment.
They turned around, and Dahven missed the fact that Zac was trying hard not to laugh.
    "What?" Taylor asked.
"You guys just got back from a very long trip. And you only say 'hey' to me! How rude!" She said quite loudly, and quite angrily.
Zac dropped his bags and started laughing. "You _ _ shoul _ _ should've_ _ seen _ _ your_ _ _fa_ _ce." He got out between his laughs.
Taylor was trying to control his laughter with all his might. But when he saw Zac laughing uncontrollably he lost his control, and started laughing also.
"He's right." Isaac said laughing too.
Dahven started laughing as well, after the whole thing finally sunk in.
    "Not funny." She replied smiling.
    Zac grinned. "Yes, it was."
Mr. and Mrs. Hanson were smiling at the group, knowing all about the relationship all four of them shared. And remembering what it was like to be young too.
Isaac hugged her. They were both still laughing. "It was funny, D."
Taylor hugged her next. "Sorry Charm, but it was too good of a joke to let go."
Dahven nodded. "I'm sure it was. But don't worry. I'll get you back." She shrugged her shoulders carelessly. "I always do." She reminded them, smiling evilly.
Zac hugged her too. "I wish you could have seen your face." He laughed again, "It was so funny! 'You only say 'hey' to me! How rude!" He mocked indignantly.
"Yeah, real funny, Zac." Dahven said nodding. "Ha, ha, ha."
Zac laughed even harder and Dahven started laughing at him. So did everyone else.
Dahven walked inside the house with them. She smiled at Jessica. "Your brothers" She exclaimed rolling her eyes.
Jessica sighed and nodded. "Don't I know!" Then she started giggling.
Mrs. Hanson hugged Dahven again. "I suppose you're going to disappear now?" She questioned.
Dahven nodded. "Yep. Like usual, I meet y'all when you arrive. And then I leave and come back the next day, so that you guys will be capable of handling me." She said smiling.
Mrs. Hanson laughed. "See you tomorrow. Noon?"
"Yeah. Unless you want me to come later." Dahven was silent for a moment. "Better make it one. If I can come sooner or maybe later you can call the house."
Mrs. Hanson nodded, "How is your father and your mother doing?" She asked cautiously, knowing it was a sensitive subject.
Dahven shrugged. "Syrus and Kasha are doing as well as they possibly can I guess. They're planning this big party for their firm. I swear if they don't leave me alone I'm going to ruin the whole thing for them."
Mrs. Hanson laughed. Dahven always was a bit over-dramatic sometimes.
"I'm serious," Dahven laughed. "They keep arguing over caterer's, seating arrangements, and the entertainment. And they're driving me crazy!" She whined.
"I'm sure you'll get through it." Mrs. Hanson said smiling knowingly.
Dahven returned her smile. "It's just another event to add to my social background." She laughed. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said giving Mrs. Hanson one last hug. She was about to leave when she turned back around. "Oh, and Miz Hanson could you tell Isaac that I found him the perfect girl, for me?"
    Mrs. Hanson laughed and nodded.
Dahven laughed again as well, then waving, she left.

~ Dahven's House ~

Dahven looked around her house, making sure her parents weren't around. Then she quickly ran up to her room as quietly as she could.
Stepping into her room and silently shutting the door behind her before she flipped on the light. And spotted a note on her bed with the familiar scrawl of her mother's handwriting.
Sighing, she grabbed it up. "Dearest Charisma." She read out loud.
"Ahh, the full middle name!" She panicked, "Okay, either I've done something horribly wrong; or they're trying to break something to me gently."
Sitting down on her bed, she forced herself to continue. "Charm, Syrus and I had a little disagreement and we went to see if we could find a compromise. Arie's at a friends house and we'll be back tomorrow. Love, Kasha."
Dahven groaned. "Another little disagreement, huh?" She muttered crumbling the piece of paper.
"That's what? You're fifth this week?"
"Dahven Charisma Christian!! You get down here right now!!" Bellowed from downstairs and rang throughout the large house.
"What is with everyone and that name today?!" She fumed before getting up and walked as slowly as she could down the stairs and into the kitchen.
She glared at her brother. "Shut up!" She shouted. "Syrus and Kasha told you not to call me by my full name." She reminded him sharply. "Especially since it's so long and horrible." She added.
She shook her head. "Anyway's what do you want, Rie?"
"It's Arie," he corrected just as sharply as she did. "And you need to sleep at a friends house tonight."
"Nu, uh." She said sitting down at the counter. "Kasha said I get the whole house to myself tonight, and you are supposed to be at a friend's house." She twirled on the stool.
Arie shrugged it off. "Plan's changed."
Ignoring that, Dahven peered up at him thoughtfully, "Kasha also said that she and Syrus had another little disagreement. Have you noticed they haven't been able to agree on anything lately?" She asked quietly.
He stared at her impatiently. "Meaning?" He questioned.
Dahven sighed, "Nevermind." She snapped, "I'll stay at a friend’s house so that you can throw a party and have all your guy friends over." Standing and stretching her neck, she looked back at him, "By the way, why do they like to hang around me? Or say hi to me when they see me around town?"
Arie smiled wryly. "Because for some ungodly reason, they seem like you."
Dahven laughed. "Gee, don't I feel the love."
He smiled and went to get a glass of water. "So where are you going to spend the night at?" He hinted.
Praying for patience, Dahven shrugged. "I don't know yet."
"Why don't you spend the night at the Hanson's? You practically live there anyway, and they seem to have some sort weird attachment to you." Arie said, now looking for food.
"No." Dahven said shaking her head.
Taking his head out of the cupboard, he smiled slyly at her. "What? Did Isaac find out that you love him?"
She scoffed, "Funny. Isaac and I are friends. I'd ask you if you knew what friends were, but I know you don't." She shot back.
Turning, she headed for the door, "I'm going to go to the suite." She announced before going back up to her room.
She was getting her overnight bag when Arie's words rang through her mind over and over again.
"Isaac and I are just friends. We've been friends practically forever. Getting any closer would ruin what we already have." She muttered darkly, as she started piling things into her bag. "Besides I'm not into all that lovey-dovey crap." She said zipping up her bag.
"You know they are going to throw you back into the loony bin if you don't start acting at least slightly normal." Arie said standing in her doorway.
Dahven smiled happily. "They strap me down in a bed so that I won't fall out, and they put mattresses' on the walls so that I can't hurt myself, and they're so kind to mush up my food for me. I miss it."
Arie laughed. "I'll let you drive my car tonight. Since you are letting me have the house."
She rolled her eyes, "And because I'm not snitching to Syrus and Kasha about it. And don't think that I don't know that you are blocking my car." Dahven said smiling knowingly.
Grabbing the nylon handles she looked around her room once more to see if she was missing anything. "If Isaac calls give him the number to the suite."
He nodded, "I'll park your car in the garage for you." Reluctantly he held out his car keys to her. "Don't ruin my car. Don't let anyone else drive it and please don't blow out any of the speakers."
Dahven smiled. "Are you sure I'm even allowed to drive it?" She asked skeptically.
"Oh, and if you burn the house down or blow it up, remember I wasn't around to stop you." She said reminded as she swiped the keys.
"My sister is way weird." Arie called after her, laughing.
Dahven was laughing as she got into Arie's black Porsche. "I wonder if I scared him?" She asked herself.
