Tiffany, Sarah, Shena, and I are standing backstage on the MTV set.  We watch the guys get ready for their appearance.

"Love come here."  AJ says.

I walk over to him and ask, "What is it?"

"Do you think I need to dye my hair a different color?"  AJ asks.

"NO!  I like it like that.  It's cute, I like it having blonde tips."  I say.

"OK, OK.  It'll stay this way.  Sheesh, I was just asking.  You didn't have to snap."  AJ says pouting.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap."  I say giving him a little kiss.

"Well, isn't that just cute."  I hear someone say.  I turn and look...it's Carson from MTV.

"Save it for the show though."  Carson says.

"What do you mean, save it for the show?"  Brian asks.

"Well, I decided to show you and AJ's girls off.  I'd show Kevin's but...they've only been dating a short time.  And Kevin and her agreed that it wasn't time to let the fans know."  Carson says walking over to me.  "Now, if I'm not mistaken, you're Suzanna."

"That's right.  But most people just call me Suzy-Q" I say.  "If you'll excuse me I need to talk to AJ in private."

"That's OK."  Carson says as he walks over to Brian.

I walk to AJ and say softly, "I need you to talk to someone.  I promised them you would call them when I told you about me being pregnant."

"Well, who is it?"  AJ asks.

"Sammy.  She wants to talk to you, now that you know about our baby."  I say.

AJ hands me his cell phone and says, "Dial the number love."  I dial the number and wait for Samantha to answer.

"Hello?"  Samantha asks in a weak voice.

"Hey Sammy.  It's me, Suzanna."  I say.

"Oh darling, how are you?"  Samantha says in a little more energetic voice.

"I'm good; we're really good," I say, "how are you?"

"I'll be great if you tell me that you told your handsome fianceé about his baby."  Samantha says.

"Oh, he knows all right.  That's why I'm calling; you said you wanted to talk to him.  So here he is."  I say handing AJ the phone.

"Um...hello?"  AJ says nervously.

"Well, this is the famous AJ I've heard so much about huh?"  Samantha says with a laugh.

"It better be, or she has a lot of explaining to do."  AJ says.

"Well, I'm positive it's you.  I'm just curious, how's if feel to know that you're going to be a daddy?"  Samantha asks.

"I'm thrilled.  I'm so happy, I just can't contain all of my happiness."  AJ says.

"I can finally have some peace of mind.  I wasn't sure how you were going to react to it; and I know Suzanna wanted you to be happy about all of this."  Samantha says.

"If you really want to see us together; turn your TV to MTV; Suzy and I are going to be on in a couple minutes."  AJ says.

"I'll do that right now.  I'm going to let you go now; but let me say one thing."  Samantha says.

"Sure, what is it."  AJ asks.

"Take care of her and that young one.  They're the most precious things you'll ever have."  Samantha says.

"I know, and I will.  They both mean the world to me.  They're in the best of care."  AJ says.

"I know they are.  I trust you."  Samantha says, "Good-bye."

"Good-bye Sammy.  My prayers are with you."  AJ says as he hangs up the phone.

AJ kisses me and says, "Well, I guess we're blessed."

"So, you're Sarah?"  Carson asks.

"Yeah, that'd be me."  Sarah says shaking Carson's hand.

"You're a very pretty young lady."  Carson says.

Brian shoots Carson an angry look and says, "Anyway, what are you wanting us to do on the show again?"

"We want you guys with the same program, we're just going to add Sarah and Suzanna in there somewhere."  Carson says.

"Where about's were you going to put them in?"  Brian asks.

"I was thinking, maybe right before you sing.  That would kind of look like you were singing to them huh?"  Carson asks.

"Yeah sure, whatever."  Brian says walking away.

"What's with him?"  Carson asks Sarah.

"Nothing."  Sarah says walking off.

Shena walks up and says, "If you're wondering about the two love birds; they're in a fight."

"Oh, well, I guess this wasn't the day to be showing off the girls huh?"  Carson asks.

"No, not really.  I'm not sure how they're going to work this out.  But they need to, and quick."  Shena says.

"OK, we'll we've asked you guys every possible question the fans could throw at us.  Here's my question: Do you guys really have girls?"  Carson asks, even though he knows the answer.

"Well, not all of us do," Howie says, "but AJ and Brian do."

"Well, Brian.  I guess I'll ask you about your girl first.  How long have you two been dating?"  Carson asks.

"Let's just say it's been a really long time."  Brian answers shortly.

"Well, how serious is this relationship?"  Carson asks.

"Semiserious."  Brian answers again shortly.

"Well, what do you consider semiserious?"  Carson asks trying to get more information out of Brain.

"We're not nearly as serious as AJ and his girl.  We're still somewhat...oh...mild about our relationship."  Brian says.

"Um...OK," Carson says, "what about you AJ?  How is you and your girls, or might I say, fiancee's relationship going?"

"We're really great.  I've never been happier in my life.  And...we have some good news to tell."  AJ says, "But I'll wait until she comes out here to tell you guys."

"Well, that will be just a few minutes."  Carson says then turns to the camera, "Up next, meet Backstreet's Girls."
They go to commercial and Sarah and I get ready to go on.  My nerves are raw.  I have no idea how the public is going to take this.  Some were very upset with our engagement; what are they going to say to me having his baby?  Now, a stage hand comes in the room and tells us to get ready.
